This a 3D scanned model of a (probably) Mayan sculpture. I found it at 123D Catch models, there wasn't much info but I guess it's from the Advanced Visualization Center from the University of South Florida. This is a photogrammetry 3D scan that I edited for 3D printing. It is part of a larger statue of Julius Caesar at the Louvre by Benjamin Bardou but I cut it off (it's not a complete scan) so it's a bust. I smoothed and sculpted some areas and filled holes. The marble bust was made in the 18th Century by Antoine Denis Chaudet and 3D scanned by Oliver Laric in 2013. I decided to make the scan hollow and cut it in 2 pieces to save material and time. This is an amazing model of a Woolly Mammoth that I sourced from the Smithsonian X 3D site. http://3d.si.edu/downloads/55 They have a lot of other cool models on their site, you should check them out! . I separated the skull form the rest of the Mammoth and then sliced it vertically to split off the tusks. .
