This work presents the synthesis of LaNiO 3 perovskite by simple combustion synthesis using hexamine as the fuel. The samples were characterized by X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and FT-IR. Inorder to identify the thermal decomposition and dissociation reactions, differential thermal analysis (DTA) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) were performed. The elemental analysis of the powder was assessed using Energy Dispersive X-ray analysis (EDS) technique. The morphological features of the powders were...

A carrier for 5 magnetic micro mounts. The lid snaps in place, if needed it can additionally be secured with zip-ties or rubber bands. Very handy to transport or send samples to other labs. There is enough tolerance to print this at higher speed / lower quality. The print in the foto was done with 0.2mm, 50mm/sec, 20% infill. Make sure to rotate the lid for printing, so the top is facing down (sorry for that, I lost the design file).

The microstructures of solution treated, quenched and aged A1-2.5 wt. %Li and A1-2.0 wt.%Li-2.76 wt.%Mg-1.03 wt.%Cu alloys were studied by powder X- ray diffraction. The as-quenched alloys showed extensive X-ray line broadening due to particle size effects and the intensity measurements indicated a significant amount ordering in the as-quenched state. These results were interpreted using a 'spinodal ordering' model which suggests that A1-Li-based alloys order during quenching and then...

Silicon, tin and lead powders belong to group IV in periodic table and exhibit decreasing semi conducting nature towards the bottom of the group. These are very useful in producing non ferrous powder metallurgy components. In the present investigation silicon, tin and lead powders are exposed to bio field. Both the exposed and unexposed powders are later characterized by various techniques. The average particle size, after an initial decrease is found to increase with increase in number of days...

Single phase formation is confirmed by x ray diffraction. It is seen that, for all samples the lattice constant remains constant this id due to constant in ionic radii. In the Ti substituted Ni Zn system magnetic moment value decreases with increasing Ti. The of variation of ac susceptibility with temperature, shows that the present studied samples...

Boundary layer friction data under ion pumped vacuum was taken for sixteen material couples. The test series was an extension of a previous study of the effects of modified ion pumped environments. Sliding distances imposed in the present effort greatly exceeded any studied in the previous contiguous, flight or ground tests. Wear out of specific couples, in particular, thin film lubricants was noted. The behavior of the test hardware including wear out of the mechanisms was noted. As a result,...

The present investigation aims to determine the mineralogical composition of certain human gallstones using Powder X-Ray Diffraction technique (PXRD). The minerals present in the samples are identified by analysing Bragg’s angle (2θ), Lattice spacing (d), Miller Indices (h k l) and full width at half maximum (FWHM) values of the sample with the standard data. Results suggest that calcium phosphate or calcium carbonate with or without magnesium content is the most predominant mineralogical...

In this work we have developed an efficient projector for laboratory based, polychromatic cone beam diffraction imaging. Using this projector, the three-dimensional shape of grains with negligible intra-granular orientation gradient can be reconstructed using iterative, algebraic reconstruction techniques (e.g. SIRT). The reconstructions show a clear improvement compared to the previously used processing route, based on a regular cone beam projector and affine transformation of the projection...

Residual stresses at welds in this alloy can cause fatigue and stress corrosion cracking in ship superstructures. Full strain and stress tensors were measured and calculated in order to develop a fuller picture of the residual...

The Mid-Miocene Climatic Optimum (MMCO) is one of Earth's most recent prolonged warming events, recorded in both the deep ocean and mid- to high-latitude continents. Thick Cenozoic deposits in the Longzhong Basin, Northwest China, provide great potential for characterizing the MMCO, but have not been well documented. In this study, we carry out clay mineralogical and geochemical analyses of the Miocene red clay succession from the eastern Longzhong Basin, employing X-ray diffraction and...
