The story of Jacob’s early life included a vision (confirmation that God was with him), a voice (God was calling him to be all that he was meant to be), and a vow (Jacob’s response to becoming God centered rather than “I” centered). An encounter with God will change our lives forever and allow His great plan for our lives to unfold. God inhabits every aspect of life at Olivet … He is in this place.

The Olivet experience allows students an opportunity for transformation in many ways. The three most important questions to consider during the college experience that will affect transformation are: What is Olivet to you? Who is Jesus Christ? What is a Christian? Stories of spiritual transformations where shared by members of the senior class through cardboard testimonies.

There are definitely problems in this world, but Jesus has come to reclaim identities. God has given a justice mission to the Church. We are not called to do it alone, we are called to do it together. You will be most tempted to quit when you are closest to your calling. Through breathtaking conversation change can happen.

In the dark moments of life we realize that our doubt is reasonable; and during these times it is possible to learn things about ourselves and God we would not have otherwise learned. God is always with us regardless of what we face.

As we surrender in our spiritual journey and relationships God is honored. The focus of all of our relationships should be in loving and caring for each other’s spirit.

Rev. Seaborn shared an overview of relationships and marriage. From personal stories about his family and wife he had “reasonable doubt” about every having a healthy marriage and family. The verses of Ephesians 5 became a turning point in his ability to live in healthy relationship.
