You don’t think God can use you? Not so fast my friend. The good news for us is that God takes our lives - broken or not - reclaims them, reshapes them, and helps us to recover the dreams he has placed in our hearts. When He does that, it’s always a beautiful thing.

The difficult experiences of our life can cause our hearts to be hardened. It is easy to justified this response or assume a faux Christianity mantra of forgive and forget. God wants us to cry out in a Davidic way asking, “where are you God,” “where am I supposed to turn,” and “what are you going to do about this.” God wants to walk with us through our brokenness and give us hearts of flesh.

Experiencing good isn't going to make us as happy as we think, and experiencing bad isn't going to make us as unhappy as we think. Getting our focus off of good and bad things requires a focus on something excellent like Jesus Christ. He is bigger and better than any of us think.
