A quick creation to hold my iPad Mini. Designed to hold it in both portrait and landscape at an angle of 60 degrees. Apple logo on the base, printed in around an hour on a Cube printer out of PLA, no warping. Update: 24/12/13 V2 has some aesthetic changes, nothing fundamental, just the fillet to the rear of the slot leading into the apple logo.

This article is from BMC Complementary and Alternative Medicine , volume 13 . Abstract Background: Sam-Hwang-Sa-Sim-Tang (SHSST) is a traditional Oriental medication that has been commonly used in Korea for the treatment of hypertension, insomnia, and chest pain. In addition, some studies reported that administration of SHSST results suppression of hyperlipidemia in rats or lowering lipid plasma level such as total cholesterol (TC). Those results made us find and demonstrate positive effect of...

This article is from Hepatitis Monthly , volume 13 . Abstract Background: Serum vitamin D concentration is reported to show a decrease in older age. Patients with chronic hepatitis C (CHC) in Japan are older on average than those in Western countries. Moreover, the outcome of pegylated-interferon (PEG-IFN)/ ribavirin therapy combined with vitamin D in elderly patients is unclear. This article is from Neuroimage , volume 90 . Abstract Neuroscience research has thoroughly studied how nonliteral language is processed during metaphor comprehension. However, it is not clear how the brain actually creates nonliteral language. Therefore, the present study for the first time investigates the neural correlates of metaphor production. Participants completed sentences by generating novel metaphors or literal synonyms during functional imaging. Responses were spoken aloud in the...

This article is from PLoS ONE , volume 8 . Abstract IL-2 receptor (IL-2R) signaling is essential for optimal stability and function of CD4+CD25hiFOXP3+ regulatory T cells (Treg); a cell type that plays an integral role in maintaining tolerance. Thus, we hypothesized that decreased response to IL-2 may be a common phenotype of subjects who have autoimmune diseases associated with variants in the IL2RA locus, including T1D and MS, particularly in cells expressing the high affinity IL-2R alpha...

In previous studies, we showed that minimally oxidized LDL (mmLDL) induced inflammatory responses in macrophages, macropinocytosis and intracellular lipid accumulation and that oxidized cholesterol esters (OxCEs) were biologically active components of mmLDL. Here we identified a specific OxCE molecule responsible for the...

This article is from PLoS ONE , volume 8 . Abstract Existing diagnostic tests for pleural tuberculosis (TB) have inadequate accuracy and/or turnaround time. Interferon-gamma (IFNg) has been identified in many studies as a biomarker for pleural TB. Because IFNg is commonly present in non-TB pleural effusions in low amounts, a diagnostic...
