Though many people can print with Prusa nozzle without a fan, I am not one of them. In fact, other ducts I have used for the fan gave me poor results. This one seems to be what I was needing to get stable prints.

We describe a hybrid laser-microwave scheme to implement two-qubit geometric phase gates in crystals of trapped ions. The proposed gates can attain errors below the fault-tolerance threshold in the presence of thermal, dephasing, laser-phase, and microwave-intensity noise. Moreover, our proposal is technically less demanding than previous schemes, since it does not require a laser arrangement with interferometric stability. The laser beams are tuned close to a single vibrational sideband to...

This article is from Journal of Medical Signals and Sensors , volume 3 . Abstract Hypernasality is a frequently occurring resonance disorder in children with cleft palate. In general, an operation is necessary to reduce the hypernasality and therefore an assessment of hypernasality is imperative to quantify the effect of the surgery and design the speech therapy sessions, which are crucial after surgery. In this paper, a new quantitative method is proposed to estimate hypernasality. The...

We provide a significant extension of the twisted connected sum construction of G_2-manifolds, i.e. Riemannian 7-manifolds with holonomy group G_2, first developed by Kovalev; along the way we address some foundational questions at the heart of the twisted connected sum construction. Some of the main contributions of the paper are: (i) We correct, clarify and extend several aspects of the K3 "matching problem" that occurs as a key step in the twisted connected sum construction. (ii)...

In this paper we consider the time complexity of computing the sum and product of two $n$-bit numbers within the tile self-assembly model. The (abstract) tile assembly model is a mathematical model of self-assembly in which system components are square tiles with different glue types assigned to tile edges. Assembly is driven by the attachment of singleton tiles to a growing seed assembly when the net force of glue attraction for a tile exceeds some fixed threshold. Within this frame work, we...

Here, we present a method for predicting tissue specificity based on quantitative deregulation of protein complexes. This article is from Genome Biology and Evolution , volume 5 . Abstract Mitochondria are intracellular organelles where oxidative phosphorylation is carried out to complete ATP synthesis. Mitochondria have their own genome; in metazoans, this is a small, circular molecule encoding 13 electron transport proteins, 22 tRNAs, and 2 rRNAs. We consider the effect of a momentum kick on the ground state of a non-interacting two-dimensional Fermi gas subject to Rashba spin-orbit coupling. Although the total momentum is a constant of motion, the gas does not obey the rules of Galilean relativity. Upon imprinting a small overall velocity to the non-interacting gas, we find that the Fermi sea is deformed in a non-trivial way. We also consider a weakly repulsive Fermi gas, and find, from its Hartree shift, that the total ground state of...

To determine whether expression of GABAA receptors (GABAARs) themselves – the essential functional postsynaptic components of GABAergic synapses – can be sufficient to initiate formation of synaptic contacts, a novel co-culture system was devised. We introduce some (anti)M/D-branes through turning on the corresponding field strengths of the eleven- and ten-dimensional supergravity theories over AdS_4 x M^(7/6) spaces, where we use S^7/Z_k and CP^3 for the internal spaces. Indeed, when we add M2/D2-branes on the same directions with the near horizon branes of Aharony-Bergman-Jafferis-Maldacena model, all symmetries and supersymmetries are preserved trivially. In the case, we gain a localized object just in the horizon. This normalizable...
