In a rather general setting of multivariate stochastic volatility market models we derive global iterative probabilistic schemes for computing the free boundary and its Greeks for a generic class of American derivative models using front-fixing methods. Convergence is closely linked to a proof of global regularity of the free boundary surface.

We consider the homotopical dynamics on compact orientable surfaces of positive genus g. We establish a sufficient and necessary algebraic criterion for homotopy classes with infinitely many periodic points of maps on such surfaces in terms of the characteristic polynomial of the matrix representing the correspondig homomorphism of the first homology group. Our methods differ from that of the literature, which typically uses Nielsen number theory, because Nielsen numbers of iterates are...

A class of singular 3D-velocity vector fields is constructed which satisfy the incompressible 3D-Euler equation. It is shown that such a solution scheme does not exist in dimension 2. The solutions constructed are bounded and smooth up to finite time where they become singular. Although the solution is smooth and bounded there seems to be no bound in L2 of the velocity field.

Global upper bounds with respect to regular norms of the incompressible Navier Stokes equation solution with regular data are constructed by an infinite scheme, where we work in bounded ZFC with bounded quantifiers and explicit infinitesimals. Trotter product formulas with infinitesimal error are obtained, which simplify for calculi with explicit infinitesimal and make the spatial effects needed in order to obtain global schemes more transparent.

It is a simple consequence of the Cafarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg theory that every possible singularity in a thin Haussdorff-measurable set of a Leray- Hopf solution of the incompressible Navier Stokes equation is on the tip of a small open cone, where the solution is smooth. Using global regularity results for weak Hopf-Leray solutions this potential singularity can be analyzed by investigation of the asymptotic behavior at infinite time of a solution of a related initial-boundary value problem...

A new construction technique of multiple solutions of the Euler equa- tion in strong spaces is introduced which reveals the relationship to multi- ple Navier Stokes equation solutions with special force terms while avoid- ing viscosity limit constructions. This shows that severe restrictions have to be imposed on time dependent external force terms in order to ob- tain uniqueness for the Navier Stokes equation Cauchy problem. Such restrictions are imposed in the statement of the so-called...

Existence of global regular solution branches of the Boltzmann Cauchy problem with continuously differentiable data in phase space dimension $2d\geq 6$ with polynomial decay at infinity of order greater than $2d$ is proved. There are data in this class of infinite relative entropy with respect to the Gaussian. Furthermore, there are weakly singular solution branches of the Boltzmann equation in spatial dimension $d\geq 3$, i.e., solutions of the Boltzmann equations which are only Lipschitz with...

Classical vorticity solution branches of the three dimensional incompressible Euler equation are constructed where a velocity component can blow up at some point after finite time for regular data in H2. Furthermore, vorticity can blow up after finite time for data in H2, and there are classical solution branches with regular data which develop weak singularities at some point of space time after finite time. The construction of these time-local solution branches is by viscosity limits of...

We describe generalized Brownian motion related to parabolic equation systems from a logical point of view, i.e., as a generalization of Anderson's random walk. The connection to classical spaces is based on the Loeb measure. It seems that the construction of Roux in [11] is the only attempt in the literature to define generalized Brownian motion related to parabolic systems with coupled second order terms, where Lam\'e's equation of elastic mechanics is considered as an example. In this paper...

In this paper we first obtain local contraction results in a Hm-norm with respect to time and space for a local scheme. We show that a global controlled scheme preserves higher order regularity with respect to the spatial variables together with polynomial decay of order m of the data at each time step. Here, we simplify the controlled scheme considered in [1] and [2]. Especially, for the simplified controlled scheme we get an upper bound for the Leray projection term. Furthermore, the schemes...

Explicit representations of densities for linear parabolic partial differential equations are useful in order to design computation schemes of high accuracy for a considerable class of diffusion models. Approximations of lower order based on the WKB-expansion have been used in order to compute Greeks in standard models of the interest rate market (cf. [2]). However, it turns out that for higher order approximations another related expansion leads to more accurate schemes. We compute a local...

Euler-Leray data functions of first and second order are defined by first and second order derivatives of the nonlinear spatial part of the incompressible Euler equation operator in Leray projection form applied to Cauchy data. The Lipschitz continuity of these functions for a certain class of strongly regular Cauchy data is sufficient for the existence of global regular upper bounds of incompressible Navier Stokes equation solutions. Global regular upper bounds of global solution branches of...

We consider regular polynomial interpolation algorithms on recursively defined sets of interpolation points which approximate global solutions of arbitrary well-posed systems of linear partial differential equations. Convergence of the 'limit' of the recursively constructed family of polynomials to the solution and error estimates are obtained from a priori estimates for some standard classes of linear partial differential equations, i.e. elliptic and hyperbolic equations. Another variation of...

We introduce a global scheme on the n-torus of a controlled incompressible Navier-Stokes equation in terms of a coupled controlled infinite ODE-system of Fourier-modes with smooth data. We construct a scheme of global approximations related to linear partial integrodifferential equations in dual space which are uniformly bounded in dual Sobolev spaces with polynomially decaying modes. We derive global analytic representations of fundamental solutions for a class of linear parabolic systems with full coupling of first order derivative terms where coefficient may depend on space and time. Pointwise convergence of the global analytic expansion is proved. The results have both...

An example of a solution branch of the three dimensional Euler equation Cauchy problem is constructed which develops a singular velocity component and a singular vorticity component after finite time for some data which have Hoelder continuous first order spatial derivatives. Such a solution branch can be extended beyond a time section at some positive finite time where a two dimensional set of singularities is located.

Singular solutions of the harmonic Einstein evolution equation are constructed which are related to spatially global and time-local solutions for a certain class of quasilinear hyperbolic systems of second order. The constructed singularities of curvature invariants occur generically and are accessible by g.a.p. curves. It is shown that the scheme converges to a bounded global classical solution for smooth data which have polynomial decay at infinity. This paper discusses physical and numerical disruption processes acting on subhaloes in galaxy haloes and in galaxy cluster haloes, and compare the effects of these processes on the subhalo abundance within both types of haloes. N-body simulations with a resolution high enough not to suffer from overmerging (subhalo disruption due to numerical processes) show a high abundance of subhaloes in both galaxies and in galaxy clusters. However, observations seem to show a high subhalo abundance in...

A complete catalogue of galaxy cluster models can be used to constrain cosmological parameters like $\sigma_8$, the amplitude of the initial density fluctuation spectrum. We focus here on two strong lensing statistics for clusters of galaxies: the fraction of rich Abell clusters that are critical to lensing, and the abundance of arcs in such clusters, especially the X-ray luminous ones. The specific aim of this paper is to constrain $\sigma_8$ for the standard Cold Dark Matter scenario within...
