that's been keeping us dry in the bay area, from the north bay down to the south bay. the bay area air quality management strict is saying we're going to remain moderate, according to the index, between 51 and 100 all throughout the region. at least we're not tapping into the unhealthy air quality despite the high pressure. walnut creek it's about 37 degrees. if i give you an hour-by-hour outlook, pay attention to the icons. you can see when the sun finally makes its big entrance by 10:00, 11:00 and temperatures start to bump up into the 50s, eventually topping out in the mid-60s. san francisco right now is about 46 degrees and then eventually some of the fog will clear out by about 9:30, 10:00 a.m. we'll start to get more sunshine. oakland, it's about 37 degrees. it's really cold out there. but by 11:00, we're talking 52, 57 by 1:00, and your daytime highs for this afternoon, not too bad, in the mid-60s for san jose, 65 in oakland, 63 in santa rosa. so mostly a sunny day ahead, but the dry weather will linger through the remainder of the week. we have a system that mo

and for the south bay. we're going to be looking at temperatures climbing well into the mid to upper 60's for areas like santa clara, san jose and campbell, 67 for your daytime highs. east bay temperatures low to mid 60's for u union city and fremont at 65 oakland and berkeley at 63 north bay. a little calmer just a little bit cooler than yesterday. still comfortable in the 60's, though. you look ahead at our next 7 days, temperatures remain solidly in the 60's all the way through january, which ends on monday of next week. and then tuesday starts off with just a touch of a cooler. feel. but really not a lot of change. we're still going to be staying dry into the new month. let's get to those issues we're seeing across the south bay. the most notable is on northbound. 85. we have that road closed due to a traffic collision with injuries on 85 northbound at south the anza boulevard, all lanes being closed and it is being of highly recommended that you avoid the area there. you can see that you're going to be

in the south bay, a 16 year-old boy. has been arrested and charged with the murder of a 12 year-old san jose girl who fatally overdosed on fentanyl. according to the santa clara county district attorney's office was back in november of 2020 that this 12 year-old girl died after purchasing and ingesting 30 pill, which is a counterfeit fentanyl-laced opioid pill that she had. gotten from that suspect. that boy, he was arrested now that booked into juvenile detention center. as for the girl, she's the youngest person in the county now to die from an overdose in 2020. apple has been granted a restraining order after a woman had allegedly been stocking. the ceo tim cook for more than a year. the santa clara county superior court confirmed the restraining order alleging that the stalker identified as a virginia woman named julie at leat choi. they say that she exhibited erratic, threatening and bizarre behavior. the county's order restraint or now from owning a gun. and she has to now stay at least 200 yards away from all appl

we are doing okay in the east bay but it's the south bay where the fog is more noticeable. san jose, look at the reporting station. a relatively warm start but fog is new in the south bay so just be aware of that. a look at the visibility map coming up and i will show you petaluma, fairfield and napa. it's not too terribly widespread. there is the forecast, another hazy looking sky and we keep a few high clouds around. you can see the forecast on air quality is moderate is the worst. the air quality is moderate and not much worse than that and on the daytime highs low to mid 60s for just about everybody. see you in the complete forecast in a few minutes. how was the drive out there? >>> not too bad. it's friday light for the most part. if you're headed toward sfo with an early flight, looking pretty good. no major delays. i want to focus on san jose, you are talking about foggy spots, you might be dealing with limited visibility. we still have disclosure in effect due to flooding, 200 a.b. in both directions to guadalupe parkway in san jose. all lanes are closed and 200 a.b
