north bay valleys, inland east bay valleys and while that dissipates by late morning, watch what shows up at atomic and into the afternoon. that's a deck of higher clouds coming in from the pacific so it's not can it be a perfectly blue sky day today. we will have high clouds that show up and just another way to look at the layers. related the visibility on the ground that we looked at the high clouds coming in afternoon, these are the mid- level clouds will be around for much of the morning. you can see how they are kind of filling in those inland valleys. you will wake up with more cloudiness over in the inland valleys, not necessarily has to be fog on the ground. there's the dissection of the clouds. okay. as far as daytime eyes, is going to mid to be upper 50s for most locations, a chance of rain shows up here. that's what it looks like on that satellite. on the few tickets which can read the rain and thus clouds and say, not coming here. or the one after that, or the series of lives. going for two north for us. the first on a monday, just clouds there for the morning hours on mond

same story here, for the inland valleys. tri-valley, diablo valley. that is all you guys pick up a nice warm up and in the bay, by tuesday morning, 50 degrees will be a morning low. of course it doesn't mean the daytime highs will warm up, just me too much of a very big spread between lows and highs by the time we get there because we will see more clouds come back. a small chance of rain. we will look at that next. daytime highs coming up into the low 50s. there's the next chance for rain. most of the storms for next week and there will be a series of them coming in the west coast, they're all going too far north to have a significant impact here but the monday rainmaker will bring us rain. so that is what it looks like going through the afternoon. light showers for the most part, not a lot to this but it is a chance of rain pretty much throughout the day on monday, lingering into tuesday morning, we still have a chance of rain into tuesday we can see the totals are not huge. that is just the first one. perhaps by the end of next week there's another

inland east bay and north bay valleys. you see from the camera, there is that low cloud bank over the skyline. i will show you where we have some trouble spots. we'll leave that view, as cool as that looks. everybody is in the mid 50s except concord. isn't that interesting? it's 46 in concord. concord you are one of the locations that has fog. that colder air and fog kind of going hand in hand. santa rosa 51. you've got it as well. it's 0.3 of a mile now for concord. the north bay, we are about a mile as well. and fairfield is down on the drive. patchy fog for the usual suspects. if we look above the fog and check the mid level clouds, it's gray everywhere. if we play it forward, we stay that way. gray skies, we never really get a break. it will stay this way until tomorrow's rain. there is rain coming home morning. today's daytime highs, low 60s for warmer spots in the south bay. mid 50s for inland valleys of the east bay, upper 50s about everywhere else. if we track the next opportunity for rain, you see it right there.

we'll climb to the mid 60s for warmer inland valleys. it is quiet now as we saw but all we have to do is look on the pacific where there is anything but. there is a train of storms ripping across the pacific. if we take the view from high def doppler and future it into futurecast, you see the rain. watch where they all go. the pattern in the atmosphere is set up to take the storms to pacific northwest even though they look good at our latitude when way out here, they get dragged to the north thanks to a nice ridge of high pressure and the storms don't have a chance to get here. not only through wednesday but let's take it to the longer range forecast and watch that pattern just continue going into next weekend. at that point the storms are even going into british columbia, want nothing to do with northern california. the rain stays up there for a while. we don't look for or expect any here in the near term or longterm. if we look at the six to ten day trend, the deeper you get in the shades, the higher the confidence. it's one thing to s

yeah, very cold and it's getting foggy and our inland valleys around lafayette pleasant hill and walnut creek. so the temperatures dropping into the 30s, you're gonna have to wait a little while to head on out. there's a look at live doppler 7 highlighting that big ridge of high pressure overhead and the cool dry air beneath allowing for the peninsula to see temperatures in the mid and upper 30s 37 santa rosa 35, san ramon. livermore is at 36 and san jose is 11 degrees colder this morning compared to yesterday. so a little bit milder and i shouldn't say milder but not as cold in the north bay three-quarter mile visibility in santa rosa, but look at concord in the last hour way down to just over a mile. so be careful out there. san francisco is lear and by nine o'clock. we're in the 40s with some of that fog by the afternoon. it's partly cloudy with mid and upper 50s returning that sun sets at 508 increasing clouds tonight and to start the work week. we've got a cloudy start. we'll detail that for you coming up liz. all right. thank you. lisa scenes like these are becoming all too common
