pretty concerning with three quarters of an inch in the north carolina mountains. for the upstate, rather, for saturday on friday, how much ice we could have. we could cap nine inches of snow on the high-end in the low-end been three inches. snow models are not accounting for what moisture will fall as ice, so if you cut that in half, nine to 12 inches of snowfall. we are going to go with a quarter of an inch of ice to half an inch of ice and possibly a damaging ice storm along i-85 northbound with about three inches of snow on top of that. or inches to six inches possible for the mountains of north carolina with nearly one foot in the high country. it goes downhill overnight. we will have high impacts on roadways and pretty much impossible over friday night and into saturday after it falls. we will see a cold the on friday, saturday, so not much melting. sunday, sunshine and 50's and we should get melting by then. allyson: taking a look at the roads, i-85 clear. traffic moving nicely around white horse road. no real reports from highway in westminster, an accident
