she was a proud native of san francisco. fanny, she was born in 1915 and grew up in the fillmore district. and in the russian neighborhood. sandy met her future husband a new york native on muni. they were married on june 1, 941. they lived on webster until richmond in a home built by her father. they lived there happily only half block from golden gate block and a mile from the golden gate bridge for their lives. sandy was part of the community activities and a member of the sister god sisterhood and a member of the san francisco chapter where she served as treasurer. she worked at the memorial blood count bank and she and bob worked at the scene -- senior center. she lived a long century of a life from 1915-2015 among loving family and friends here in the most beautiful city in the world. although she will be deeply missed she couldn't have asked for more than living in this great city. thanks to her family for raising attention to her life. the rest i will submit. city clerk: thank you, supervisor mar. supervisors tanning

francisco is the most special place in the country everyone wants to live in san francisco it's a special city and a a city that faces many challenges we have the greatest income inequality of any city in the country there's a great deal of prosperity and wealth in san francisco the fact that month san franciscans are struggling to live in the city and the studies 0 show a great great deal of of costs is housing by transportation so with this act by approving item 11 i'll be sending a clear message to our senior and dablthd community they belong in san francisco we want them to stay and we recognize they're struggling and time to make a commitment to them the senior and disabled will have been an important part of making san francisco today what it is unless we help them they'll not been able to live in san francisco i'm proud we're here and grateful to this board to the administration for the leadership and i know you're going to do the right thing and especially the community advocates that made this possible you you know when we started a few years back who would have thought we'd be h

one agenda of the san francisco zoo is to talk about biodiversity. in 40 years we have lost 50% of the plants and animals on this planet. so we need to talk about all animals. and this is a classic example. this is an animal that is sold in pet shops and most people don't realize, but this animal lives 20-30 years and these are, in fact, rescued animals and they are actually a social group. so we will take in more of these animals and again, talk about this intriguing crab that has taken the step from being a water animal to becoming part land animal. so this is an interesting transition, showing you how animals evolve to live on land. again our hermit crabs. lastly this is really kind of a serious conversation. this is eli, eli is also an extremely old animal at the san francisco zoo. let me pull the -- eli is 34 years old. she made an important contribution to the critically endangered species. eli has 14 offspring, 15 grandkids and 6 great grandkids and two great-great grandkids. the zoo is proud of this work with the black rhino species and, in f

[speaking spanish] and workday in and day out with us to make sure that we have interventions that are community based and culturally comtent and i want to acknowledge that and it wouldn't be where it is without the organizations and collaborations in the city that there are so with they will give a high level introduction around ipo. it was launched in july 2012. this is an initiate lead by mayor lee. he announced the ipo initiative which stands for interrupt, predict and organize and for a safer san francisco and has three core strategies and the strategies just as the tag line states is interrupt, predict and organize. the interruption piece refers to a enforcement strategy and deals with hot spot neighborhoods and make that we identify those spots and target individual neighborhoods or areas that are im

[applause] to my colleagues i can't thank you enough. we have, over the years that i have been on this board of supervisors we have had awed differences, but what i appreciate most is each and every one of you is passionate about what you believe in you're passionate about our city. we may have a different way of which we go about doing business, but ultimately i appreciate your support, appreciate our working relationship and i look forward to working together on this board with each and every one of us to serve this amazing city and county of san francisco and i'm humbled like i said. i'm excited, i'm proud and i'm truly looking forward to honor. i definitely will be making some additional comments later, but today is the day that i want to recognize the people who have just, within the last year running for office. running for office, people who are reelected, congratulations, and i'm so glad that you're back here in city hall so that we can continue the work that many o
