trenton, half mile which is heavy. we're starting to see visibilities go down and northeast philly, mt. holly and in wrightstown but we still don't have issues across far south jersey. now the good thing is the temperatures above freezing everywhere except for the poconos. this snowmelting on the roads but when you have 50 mile an hour wind gusts and snow that heavy, you can't see so it's dangerous travel any way. 38 in philadelphia. these numbers are going down slowly during the day and the current wind gusts, we're seeing some pretty impressive gusts now. 52 miles an hour in wilmington, 47 in coatesville. we've seen gusts over 50 down toward parts of the jersey shore and the gusts as we go into the afternoon, 55 to 60 miles an hour in parts of the area, 7:00, similar story. that is the heart of the storm. 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. when the winds will be the strongest, still strong at midnight and tomorrow morning when the precipitation's over, it's still kind of gusty but it won't be as dangerous a wind as we're seeing this

trenton just about to clear. for the most part, things have improved vastly. you see out along the jersey shore from bass river, back toward ship bottom. that's where we have the last is cleared. and the same thing for hamilton. the big picture now. let's move ahead. we are going to be looking at some clouds and some clearing overnight. we have the main body, the upper-level body of the storm system still off to the west. so that could rotate through, bringing us some snow showers or flurries or maybe even a brief rain shower. and that's going to happen tonight, tomorrow, maybe even into friday. it's going to take a couple of days for us to get out of here. but i don't think we're going to be seeing accumulating snow. and that is going to be widely scattered. well get into saturday, it looks like an absolutely beautiful day. and for the most part, sunday looks pretty nice too. so a lot of the snow out there is going to melt away. that's good news. let's go ahead and walk you through this. the temperature profile is going to hover right around the freezing mark

for parts of philadelphia, heavier rain for doylestown, parts of trenton, mount holly. and those wind speeds will start to pick up as well. but the big talker for today is going to be the changeover challenge. we have the cold air moving in on the backside of the system. we also know that we have above freezing surface temperatures. for a closer look and a break down of this challenging forecast we're going to send it over to meteorologist steve sosna. >> yeah, that's right right, brittney, it is a challenge. and the reason why is we're seeing a variation in our models. some models predicting upwards of 8 inches of snow and others say nothing. the reason for that is this is called a bomb cyclone. this is the second one, and some models don't capture the detail and the details are extremely important. conditions along 95 are moving well. you'll be able to see we do continue to see even the chilly conditions in philadelphia. we're looking at temperatures in the upper 30s. so my graphics are not advancing, but my main points i want to give you here today are the winds step
