reporting live, danielle miller, fox 10 news. >>> all right, danielle, thank you for that report. and in a developing story, a suspected teenage intruder is shot after a tolleson man wakes up to find two people in his home. police were called to the scene this morning right near 99th avenue and lower buckeye road. you can see a large presence of police there from skyfox. they say that he found two people inside, including a 15-year-old boy. the homeowner then shot the teen two times in the back but that teenager is expected to survive. both suspects were taken into custody. people who live in that area, they say they were shocked to find out the suspect who was shot is just a teenager. >> now you're in the hospital and you're going to have to deal with, you know, the legalities. you're going to have to deal with your medical expenses. >> and tonight we have no word on the suspects' identities. >>> in a fox follow-up, a valley business is helping a 7-year-old boy who is recovering from a tragic motor boat accident. back in june the boy, named dylan, was thrown from the boat while v

danielle miller joins us live with more on these attacks. there was so much concern after this happened. >> reporter: absolutely, john. grabbing the two women here in this area is a registered sex offender. on top of that, he was wearing an ankle monitor device during the alleged assaults but it was that ankle monitoring device that put him do these crimes. james wolford arrested for sexual assault. assault of a child in the past. two women were walking near second avenue and van buren street when they were groped. police say the first victim was groped while walking to class at a.s.u. she was talking on the phone with her mom when it happened. police say a few minutes later, he groped another woman and was talking to her with sexually explicit language. the woman told him to back off and she got away. he caught up with her again the victim walked into a bank and called for help. >> maybe the buildings could increase their security because i have seen people hanging around the garage area and some of the bus stops have bushes and stuff. >> r

danielle miller joins us live with more on what we are learning, danielle? >> reporter: marc, we are learning kohlhepp's violent past started here in the valley. court documents show that he had a long history of mental illness and even killed goldfish with clorox in elementary school. today we spoke with a former him in a case in the '80s. he told us kohlhepp was a deeply troubled person. >> you have no way of knowing when they are going to go off the deep end and start killing people, and that's the situation with this man. >> reporter: that from alan bicker, the former attorney of suspected serial killer 45-year-old todd kohlhepp. he represented him in 1987 when kohlhepp was convicted of rape in arizona. court documents show w kohlhepp was 15, he held his 14-year-old neighbor at gunpoint, tied her up, put tape over her mouth and then raped her. kohlhepp took a plea deal and served a 15-year prison sentence pin arizona for sexual assault. >> it appeared that he had very little view of what the value of life was, and the little girl in this was very lucky.
