it was nice to see a baseball game actually take place this afternoon in havana cuba. the rays are on the field as we speak against the cuban national team. and this has been quite the day. ray's manager kevin cash introduced each player escorted to the field by a child. and several rays players made obama's seat behind home plate. chris archer passed along matt moore's glove as a gift. then the first cuban born player to leave the country then return to play a game in cuba. a little pop out but a piece of history for verona. 2nd inning, a single there, kevin, the cubans found out about his speed today the hard way. he slides in safely to put the rays on top 1-0. the president loves that. raul castro even has to applaud the base running by the rays. a 2-run shot. they fight for the ball in right field. everything's a souvenir. the final home stand of the season for the lightning begins tonight. this one is a biggie. one of the teams battling for a playoff spot in the eastern conference. this is an example of how crazy this playoff chase has gotten for each team involve
