jenny of connecticut. go ahead with professor carson. >> caller: good afternoon. i just wanted to commend you and i'm very grateful you have this on tv. i would like to be more active in the celebration as well so i was wondering what do i need to do to be a part of it and be active and finding different information on this type of event that's going on right now? >> well, one of the things that any person can do is come to the south and instead of taking the next vacation and going to europe or going to the national parks, come to the national historic sites. come to -- just yesterday i was in atlanta at the king birth home and at the visitor center and the new national center for civil and human rights. and come to montgomery and see dexter avenue baptist church where king preached and where the march ended. come here to selma and come here when it's not so crowded and there are fewer police lines that you have to get through. come to birmingham to the civil rights museum there the civil rights institute, and come to memphis to the national civil rights museum.
