high temperatures tomorw as i mentioned nice 46 in d.c. 45 in leesburg 43 in martinsburg, 48 towards fredericksburg. it will be a little breezy at times so that'll make it feel cooler but with plenty of sunshine temperatures i think friday will be a fantastic day. get out and ride bike tomorrow. 46 3:00. doreen you love those guys don't you? 44 at 5:00 42 at 7:00. vance would rather be on a harley. anyway going to be on the low side. breezy but mild. again, mild wi temperature average by about 35 degrees. get out and enjoy the tay because you know it won't last long. right back down to 3 saturday. plenty of sunshine on saturday but it will be a little cooler. then we have a chance for rain on sunday. not everybody's going to see the rain. lit most likely be from i-95 to the east. we're talking act areas of southern maryland northern virgin and the district. to the we much less of a chance, especially back toward the blue ridge and i-81. something we'll be watching though. 44 degrees if it's strong enough. maybe light snow on the backside but not there just yet. 41 degrees for monday

talking about leesburg picking up a couple of inches of snow. down to the south it was mostly a rain event. that's what's going on right now. we have nothing down there, even towards parts of charles county. 36 degrees, winds out of the northeast at three miles per hour. 36 here, but notice what's going on back to the north and west. 30 degrees in gaithersburg 29 in baltimore, 34 in leesburg. many areas close to the freezing mark tonight. that's the only real concern overnight, not any more rain or snow. but we could see icy patches by early tomorrow morning with a temperature around 30 degrees inside the beltway. dry conditions tomorrow and melting conditions too. temperatures around 44 degrees. i think tomorrow will be a pretty nice day all in all as we will see sunshine and a mixture of clouds during the day thursday. future weather though taking us through friday. no problems friday during the day. friday will be another nice day, a little cool with some cloud cover. but watch what happens as we move in through 8:00 9:00 10:00. snow to the w

north of leesburg toward the frederick area. that's the 1 to 2. and you can see that line here coming through northwestern montgomery county up towards howard county mt. airy and damascus. fairfax, manassas woodbridge half inch to an inch mark during the morning hours tomorrow. most should wrap-up by around noon tomorrow. and then it just gets cold. 36 on your tuesday. but 28 on wednesday. 24 on thursday. look at the low. 13 for an overnight low thursday morning. many of you will be down between 0 and 5. that's the actual temperature thursday morning. friday we start to rebound a little bit. back into the 30s. 36 on friday. 34 on saturday. 39 on sunday. so we're in a very cold stretch here as we move through the next couple days. and notice what's happening here. a chance of a flurry on wednesday. but this is when we start to see dangerously cold air moving in. remember to bring the pets indoors, for sure. windy with gusts upwards of 20 to 30 miles per hour maybe higher. and because of that we'll be seeing wind chills in the teens during the day,

take the umbrellas with you tonight. 37 in martinsburg, 36 gaithersburg 34 manassas and leesburg. good news temperatures above freezing. so not too many problems tait anticipated on the roads. winter weather advisory in the pink winter storm warning to the west. d.c. has been taken out of that as it's too warm to see accumulating snowfall in our area. i think most of the area to the west may be taken out as well because of warmer air. coatsing to an inch of snow including parts of d.c. leesburg parts of montgomery county right toward the luray area and possibly 2 to 4 winchester to hagerstown. this only if they stay snow longer. towards our area, the metro region, this will come from tomorrow as the snow changes -- or rain changes back to snow. 8:00 tonight just about everybody seeing just plain rain. it will mix at times but mostly just plain rain. tomorrow at 7:00 a.m. a little bit of a break and then the colder air starts to come in and we do get a little bit of a mixture of rain and snow moving back across the area so don't be surprised if you see accumulating snow tomorrow. m

in downtown leesburg today, frozen sidewalks and walking with care was a must. the shovels also out as people cleared their path. and then take a look at this picture sent into us from a viewer. 16th street in south arlington. cars yeah kind of like bumper cars as they headed down the icy hill. now i want to take you back out here to our live shot in vienna. the roads, some of the main roads in decent shape but side roads in slick conditions and for the morning, a challenge. we'll send it back to you guys. >> all right. thank you, adam. >>> from the parking garage at the grovener metro, the scene was actually kind of picturesque this morning. but it wasn't pleasant for drivers who started the day cleaning off their cars or trying to push their way out of ditches on the side of the road. road crews are now out making sure streets are passable for the evening rush. >>> metro buses are now operating under a moderate snow plan they call it. that means service along most of the routes will be okay. but some of the routes might be detoured to keep the buses off street

temperatures are 25 in gaithersburg 32 in fredericksburg and 30 in leesburg. but temperatures only dropping three to five degrees in parts of the region so we're below freezing. that's why fredericksburg spotsylvania county has the delays tomorrow because of the potential for icy roads. still the cloud cover around the system as the storm moves out. as we widen out there's not another storm moving in anytime soon. so your thursday friday, saturday will all be dry. next storm doesn't move in until sunday. highs tomorrow 39 in fredericksburg and 39 in d.c. 37 in gaithersburg. a better day, we'll see sunshine. it will be breezy and the windchills a little cooler than this. not a bad afternoon. 6:00 a.m. your drive impact a few clouds 29 degrees, a few areas of ice but not too many. the roads should be fine especially the main roads. cold and dry between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. with temperatures around 37 degrees. travel no problem, a few icy spots. exercise? go for it. just bundle up. we've been through the cold stuff through the past couple of 43 on friday as we star

9 in leesburg. 11 in manassas. 10 over towards annapolis. a very cold start to our wednesday. a we move through the day, close to about 12:30, many of us out getting some lunch, 21 in gaithersburg 26 in fredericksburg and culpepper. we have to dress warm tomorrow. saturday could be the coldest day. the cold air is here on saturday. the next storm coming up on sunday. but here's the difference. our last couple of storms have come from the north. this one will come along the southern branch of the jet stream. that actually brings in some milder air. with that where is that rain/snow line once again? that's the million dlar question. a stronger storm, something to watch. maybe too warm. the best chance for this is start as snow and go to rain so again we are going to see this coming up on super bowl. if you've got plans for the super bowl you want to make sure you stay tuned for that one. chance of snow during the evening hours on thursday a little bit of a mix with a high of 39. much colder friday and saturday and we'll be watching that storm on sunday as we make our way through
