looking at the ground reports still some snow in leesburg, but there is a lot of rain. you know if you have been tuning in this was mainly going to be wet across most of the washington area. low pressure over the gulf in florida, coming up the coast. it has not really turned into a coastal storm just yet. advisories until noon, winter storms to the west. we will be hard-pressed to see the snow levels getting close. the temperatures do it close to freezing. there could be some icy spots but we will have to track the second half of the weekend and quite possibly the likeliest snow set up this season so far. the full forecast just minutes away. >> road crews were not taking any chances with the winter weather. dozens of trucks hit the streets afternoon. they are standing by in the overnight hours as well. richard reeve has the latest from virginia. >> good evening, leon, this was a night of what if. what if it snows like crazy, what if the roads froze, what if conditions are terrible. we ended up with this, and it kept a lot of folks busy. vdot crews are remaining on stand

live in leesburg jeff goldberg abc 7 news. >> thank you. of course the stormwatch weather team is continuing to track conditions as the weather system moves out and another potentially more powerful one begins to take shape. chief meteorologist doug hill breaks down the timing of the next winter weather threat in a few minutes. leon? >> we go to breaking news coming out of annapolis where crews have recovered two bodies with the charred remains. this comes hours after news chopper 7 captured these images of the search crews of the investigators getting their first look inside the ruins. stephen tschida is live in an annapolis to tell us what he just learned there. what's the latest? >> i went back into the fire station and spoke with the captain russ davies just seven minutes ago. he was a bit more forthcoming one-on-one than he was during the news conference. we now know that those two bodies which were found today were discovered in the basement of this massive home but he did qualify that by saying the fire was so intense that the house

light snow leesburg. it will not amount to a whole lot. the snow will fall over about 3 4 hours. at that it will be about an inch or so. as it lifts off towards the north and east, the skies begin to clear by late in the afternoon. that will give us a better chance of sunshine later tomorrow. that sunshine will return a good portion of the upcoming week. by the time we reach the weekend, temperatures near 50 degrees. in terms of the projected snowfall totals, keep in mind this is just possible. a traced to possibly an inch in d.c., fairfax, alexandria. the further south and east, southern maryland may have a mixture of sleet and snow, potentially 1 5oto 2 inches, but i think the two inches may be optimistic. to the north, just a few flurries of that. if you are looking for school cancellations, at this point i don't think it is a good bet. 7:00 in the morning, 21 degrees snow, wintry mix. that will began to taper off by noontime. for clock, peaks of sunshine the temperature near 32. lower 40's friday. saturday, middle 40's near 50 degrees. not a bad extended holiday weekend. jacq
