fox 29's jennifer joyce with more on this story, jennifer good morning. >> reporter: good morning, chris and lauren. anyone who rides public transportation understands on a crowded train you will be are close to the people around you. this 17 year-old victim told us that this man didn't like that her backpack was touching him and kept bumping into him or i'm sorry, wednesday morning around 7:30 as she was on her way to school. that is what she says precipitated this attack. he used his fist to express his feelings. 7:30 a.m. attack wednesday say shea, the victim, was on her way to school. she says she now has a broken nose and bruised face. the attack was caught on cell phone video. it is blurry but you can see the man she says punch her three to four times in the the face before happening off of the trolley at seventh and girard streets. she explain prior to the punches that he threaten her as she was wining up her arm she tried to deeven if herself. she quickly realized she were not be able to defend herself begins a friend man. she said one person tried that the man exited the trolley

. >> let's go to fox 29's jennifer joyce with this story. jennifer good morning. >> reporter: good morning, chris, lauren, that's right. two people shot. that's not what police thought initially happened. they were called out here because of a car accident. chief joining us, can you break this down for us? this is all a surprise to you and a very unusual case. >> yes initially the 911 call was an accident annie -- mini-van crashed into a house and upon police arrival one of the victims was able to get out of the car and talk to police and paramedics. although he had some obvious injuries to his head, we did not know until he arrived at the hospital and the front seat passenger who he was with was pronounced dead t wasn't until then about 20, 25 minute later, that we realized that both of them had been shot in the head. very unusual. >> so he was here, he was just walking and talking to police, made no mention that he was shot? >> he exited the car on his own volition, he was walking talking, standing, waiting -- bleeding from the head but di
