behind it, look at this clear, dry air. that's the air mass as we head into sunday. that means we'll see a lot of sunshine in the forecast for us. here is the big picture for your sunday. that area of low pressure will depart up into the canadian maritimes. high pressure will dominate the forecast for sunday and monday. through monday, high pressure stays in control. then keeping a close eye on a cold front approaching from manitoba, saskatchewan, canada. that will bring us chilly, chilly air and unseasonably cool air. it won't get here until about wednesday and thursday morning. you will certainly notice the difference. a little bit of rainfall is associated with it tuesday night into wednesday but a lot of disagreement with the models as far as that goes so we'll have to fine tune the forecast over the next couple of days. bay temperature 66 degrees. small craft advisory in effect through sunday morning. here is what you can expect for tonight. low temperatures around 45 degrees, that's average for this time of year. decreasing cloud cover, 64 tomorrow, mostly sunn

winds coming out of northwest helping filter in that cool canadian air and dry air mass that's been in place the past couple days. we had some chilly numbers the past couple days. we do have a bit of a warm-up headed our way, but first on the big picture satellite and radar showing this area of high pressure. so that's the area of clear dry air in charge now. it will stay in place as we head throughout the next couple days. we'll have a little cold front pass through from our north, but it won't bring us any rainfall, just a little extra cloud cover but not until later on tomorrow evening. so we'll expect another chilly start to your monday morning, but then we'll top now the low and mid-60s before it's all done. that cold front will pass through as we head into tomorrow evening. here's how things will play out into your tuesday. high pressure will then build in once again for tuesday and into wednesday. we may get a little extra cloud cover moving in wednesday associated with the system that will push towards us, but then some pretty big changes headed our way by the end of the week.

northwest winds in the area bringing this drier and cooler air mass in. at least for the time being. it's going to be a cooler week than we've seen in the last week or so. down across the southeast, the front's moving offshore. however it's going to start a little bit in the atlantic ocean, moisture developing somewhere over east of florida in the next 24 hours. could develop an area of low pressure along that front and it may bring us, may, not 100% chance, but may bring us more clouds and some more rain here late wednesday, thursday, friday and saturday, it may just hang up along the coast. the front will slow down. that's the problem. here's the front and it really doesn't go anywhere. that low pressure indicated by the models offshore bringing rain, maybe just west of the baltimore area. that could last with the northeast winds may not get out of the 50s to low 60s by the middle or end of the week. northeast wind 10 to 15. bay temp around 70. tonight not a bad night. cloud break up. some 40s. 70 degrees tomorrow, less humid. beautiful day tomorrow. cl

cold canadian air tapped into a very cold air mass. now the winds have shifted to the southwest. the southwest means we tap into what our neighbors are already experiencing. memphis at 55, atlanta at 44. they are warmer than what we are, and that's the air coming in our general direction. high-pressure has carved out a pretty fair amount of dry conditions for us in much of the country except where this is back toward texas and one offer on the great lakes. it's really been dry. the slipper on the great lakes has been associated with some of the clouds we had. it's a low pressure system with a front that's been dragging back toward texas and moved across the area. as you can see, scattered clouds as a result. but it moves through dry, so we are not going to any impact at all. high-pressure building in, and then another front comes through dry tomorrow. am i know mild air stays with us throughout. the way it plays out, we have a chance of showers late in the week. we are talking late thursday, friday. we will keep an eye on the timing. right now it does not look like that will affe

it's a clockwise flow around the high that directs that cold canadian air mass to us. right now, we are looking at 49 degrees. it's been fluctuating. we have a wind chill, with the north wind coming down here. and at around 5 to 10 miles an hour here in our particular location. taking the wind chill down to 40 degrees. almost a 10-degree swing in temperatures here in towson where we are on burke avenue. the temperature swing this week has been noticeable. let's tang a look at what we started at. sunday, we were just around the mid-60s. but we went into 67 degrees on monday. to give you perspective. the normal high now is 64. normal overnight low is 43. look at that graph and it gives you an idea of where we're headed. 64 tuesday. 58 on wednesday. we are expecting to be around 54 when the official numbers come in. today and tomorrow. and as you have seen, those overnight lows are dipping down very close to about freezing. we'll continue to keep you monitored on all the changes in the fluctuations in the temperatures. and we'll tell you when it's going to warm up just a
