he is in scottsdale arizona with the very latest. and another day another cut. it may be another insurer to pull out of the exchanges. that would make for out of the top five insurance providers to pull ouof the exchanges. not good news. take a look at the counties of that you referred to in arizona. just two years ago there were both between six and eight insurers in the exchanges in each of the counties they've all sorts of competition. now just one insurer in most of the counties had skyrocketed. they sent us here to arizona to say why did this happen. a little bit of overpromising and under delivering and under promising and not a good way. first they overpromise at and how big the market would be. they fought more than 500,000 people would sign up. instead it was about 200,000 people. a lot more lot more sick people than healthy people. then the over delivered except when it means cost overruns. they thought that cost to provide for these people was getting up by about 22% instead it went up by 250 percent. as you can imagine you just can't make money in th

now we're seeing some of that rain impacting spots across scottsdale. also tempe. that's where the bulk of the rain is now from fountain hills to scottsdale right along the loop 101 and the loop 202 red mountain moving through tempe. not seeing a lot of lightning with this rain but we are tracking these showers as move from east to northwest here. early this morning. so heads up on that. or maybe you take the u.s. 60 into work. you could get caught under some of these showers as they push to the west. it's not very widespread right now. rain chances are staying in our forecast. the wide view will show you we've got a storm system and that's going to keep those storm chances in play across the valley and the state through the down. we've got a 30% of scattered showers through about 9:00. after we get a bit of a lull. but we've got a 20% chance through midday and through lunchtime. slight chance of a few spotty showers. but i think by the afternoon and into the evening commute we could see somewhere widespread showers and thunderstorms from the west valley to the eas
