In the mid1970's local; producer Terrence Doran produced and hosted over 70 Theater for Ideas community discussions on a variety of topics in various venues in Fort Wayne and one at Manchester College. The shows include performances in dance, reader's theater, and original plays. The shows explore themes such as loneliness, mental health, sexuality, the environment, violence, victimless crimes, art, power, and relationships. Organizations involved include the Jewish Federation, the Jewish Temple...

Terry Doran's one act play about a man contemplating ending it all with the High Street Players, four actors participating in the play. In Fort Wayne an audience member liked it so much she arranged to have it at Manchester College Play ends at 26:00 and the rest of the program is two psychologists acting out and discussing an actual case history of a suicide. With audience response, it is lively and illuminating. Quite a few members of the audience are smoking.
