City marshal talks about warrant roundup on 'theCITY'
City Marshal John Gonzales talks about the upcoming warrant roundup on the latest episode of "theCITY," a City of San Angelo interview show.
The new episode debuts at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, on SATV, the City's government access channel on Suddenlink cable Channel 17. The show will be broadcast daily at 6 a.m., 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. through March 12. "theCITY" can also be viewed on the City's YouTube page at youtube.com/cityofsanangelotx.
Peace officers from local and area law enforcement agencies will soon be conducting their annual warrant roundup, targeting offenders with outstanding warrants for Class C misdemeanors. Those offenses include crimes such as traffic violations, issuance of a bad check and theft; City code citations for garbage, weeds, junk and unsanitary conditions; and for failure to appear for a court date, to pay a fine or to comply with a court order.
The episode also features Animal Services Manager Julie Vrana talking about pet adoptions at the San Angelo Animal Shelter and efforts to raise funds for the Spay/Neuter Assistance Program, or SNAP, which helps low-income citizens spay and neuter their pets.
The show also includes an employee spotlight of Bryan Miears, an officer in the City Marshal's Office.
