System Shock 2 has a lot of great mods, but going through the list of hundreds of them just to be able to enjoy the game looked a bit daunting. Either you should choose a small set of them, or spend hours investigating each existing one.
System Shock Reborn fixes that by providing a finely tweaked base that stills allows to mod if wished, but that saves you from taking each small decision that doesn't matter.
