Windows 3.1x (codenamed Janus) is a series of 16-bit operating systems produced by Microsoft for use on personal computers. The series began with Windows 3.1, which was first sold during April 1992 as a successor to Windows 3.0. Subsequent versions were released between 1992 and 1994 until the series was superseded by Windows 95. The version of Arthur's Teacher Trouble emulated here is Version 1.1. This Living Book was released in 1992 before Random House joined a partnership with Brøderbund. This version was released in 1993 after Random House joined with Brøderbund. This game is based on the 1986 book by Marc Brown. Keyboard shortcuts: 1 - Change the language to English. 2 - Change the language to Spanish. R - Switch to Read to Me mode. P - Switch to Let Me Play mode. The version of Arthur's Birthday emulated here is Version 1.0. It was released in 1994. This Living Book was re-released in 1997 as Version 2.0 with an increased resolution and two games: Pin the Tail and the Great Gift Mystery, but the story is only in English unlike Version 1.0, which is available in both English and Spanish.
