These Girls Are Fools was also released as Hell is a Place Called Hollywood (1950) and reissued in 1956, but may have been filmed in the '40s. This is both a time capsule and an ironic oddity. A Hollywood exploitation film about the dangers of exploitation in Hollywood. A naive girl with dreams of stardom lands her first role in a dubious "art film". (You may want to avert your eyes during the skinny dipping sequence.) Unable to get any more film offers, she is forced to work as a...

"Dressage au Fouet" (Raising with the Whip), a remarkable, rare, purely fetishistic film (not porn) of a mistress disciplining her slave. Made by Jacques Biederer (Ostra Studio), a Paris photographer of high-class erotica. In the '20s & 30s he made elegant (and humorous) "French postcard" type nudes - and incredible fetish pictures (spanking, whipping, S&M, pony play, etc.). Was astonished to discover he also dabbled in stag films. He influenced later artists John...

A very attractive bound girl struggles in various positions. Nice use of very '60s leopard pillows and wooden pole. Posting this because it's notable for its cinematic scene transitions. The only stag loop I've seen that shows any camera skill or attention to detail. There's even a nice little ending bit. This was edited down from a much longer reel but includes all the zoom-in, fade out scene changes. This is a public domain film-loop released on the "Bizarro Sex Loops 20"...

First chapter of a multi-part 1950s era peep-show called "The Nude Dude". Filmed outdoors on a Western set with a shapely cowgirl wearing only a hat and a strategically placed gun belt. This was made to be seen in a coin-operated machine with a viewing slot. At the end of each chapter one has to drop another dime to continue the story. In the days before full-length porn films were shown in theaters, these were set up in adult bookstores. The unknown model seen here is made up to look...

Short stag reel, circa late-1950s. A woman's nightmare of being punished by a jealous girlfriend. No strap, just bondage and non-stop hand spanking. Similar to Irving Klaw's films and "Co-Ed Secrets" (also at this site). Part of a long series I'm doing on the history of fetish films.

Charlie Chaplin's 2nd Film Released Feb. 07 1914 Kid Auto Races At Venice is 1914 American-made motion picture starring Charlie Chaplin in which his "Tramp" character makes a first appearance. Here is one of the best '60s underground fetish shorts (most are terrible). This stands out due to the fierce Latina dominatrix who resembles Tura Satana ("Faster, Pussycat, Kill Kill!") both in look and over-the-top intensity. She goes berserk after her mousey schoolgirl slave brings home a note from her teacher. Note the bizarre "bondage board". A unique bit of carpentry. The domme wails away on the girl like a maniac. She only has one speed: flat out. And this is just the...

"Love is a Four Letter Word", aka The Love Girls (1966) appears to be the first full-length film to show a fetishistic sorority initiation ceremony. The hazing includes bondage, blindfolds, ice rubbing, and hard spanking with a big sorority paddle. A sexploitation gem by Bob Cresse and R. L. Frost. They specialized in harsh grindhouse "roughies", but this obscure film is more of a dark psychological study of repressed desire.

Charlie Chaplin's 50th Film released In 1918. (put together by Essanay from unfinished Chaplin films two years after he had left the company) Triple Trouble was a silent film released in 1918. It starred Charlie Chaplin, Edna Purviance and Leo White. This film was not an official Chaplin film, even thought it has many Chaplin directed scenes. From Wikipedia: Never Weaken is a 1921 silent comedy film starring Harold Lloyd and directed by Fred Newmeyer. It was Lloyd's last short film, running to three reels, before he moved permanently into feature-length production. It was also one of his trademark "thrill" comedies, featuring him dangling from a tall building. Lloyd and his crew honed and perfected their "thrill" filming techniques in this film, and put them to astonishing use in the 1923 classic feature Safety...

Key early scene from the classic grindhouse roughie "The Defilers" (1965). In contrast to the crude, amateurish New York sexploitation films (see "Olga's House of Shame" clips), this is the first Hollywood roughie with a developed storyline, characters, and slick production (despite a budget of only $11,000). In other words, a low-budget film that doesn't look cheap. This also appears to be the first movie with a sexual sadist using corporal punishment (spanking) as foreplay...

First, "The Broken Vase", a rare fetish film by Paris photographer Jacques Biederer. A simple scenario of a clumsy maid getting a hand spanking from her mistress. Biederer's Ostra Studio made a few non-pornographic films of this type. He is best known for his elegant, erotic photographs of fetishistic subjects: bondage, whipping, domination, spanking, and role-play. The second film clip, "Mrs. and her Maid", from an unknown source, is of the same subject. A woman tears up a...

"Terminal Island" (1973) is a uniquely dreadful exploitation film set in the near future where convicts are marooned on an island and must fend for themselves. Like an alternate universe version of "Survivor" except with a bit more brutality, slavery, sex, and death. Clips: Here, beautiful Phyllis Davis exhibits perfect form in a seduction bathing scene. Of interest to students of film (and pulchritude) is the final edited version followed by several rare and revealing...
