04-26-2018 Before introducing my final guest today, I spent a few moments in remembrance of a special friend, Bob Dorough who passed away this past Monday at the age of 94. Active to the end, Bob was known to the jazz world (he's the only male vocalist that's sung on a Miles Davis album to my knowledge) and to kids growing up with his classic Schoolhouse Rock ditties over the years. A real special guy. Jeffrey Greene is my special guest for my FINAL SHOW at WESU for the foreseeable future...

03-15-2018 Sara Hughes was last on RVR in the early Summer of 2016. Today she returns, all the way from Alabama by way of i-Park in East Haddam. And accompanying her on this visit is her twin sister, Amy. Sara is a writer/poet/educator while Amy is visual artist/letterpressdesigner/educator who also creates flipbooks for recreation. We nearly lost track of the time and that means we ran out of time before I was ready. I hope to have them back someday. Sara's just released poetry book, The...

12-01-2016 Another music show, this one drawing on the temperament of a half century ago. When coming of age meant fighting to stop the madness. I guess it's come full circle and those times have a renewed vigor about them. The music today touches on those efforts. Thanks for listening, but more important is to be able to thank you for getting involved again with renewed vigor, or for the first time.
