DLNA Quirky Werewolf64 Pup for Smart TVs The primary purpose of this Pup is to act as preconfigured self-contained DLNA server. No special setup is required.  To that end it contains a third 7.9GB f2fs partition (The media “pool”) with 7.1GB of free space.  Three test videos are already present on that partition.  The target device is a 32GB USB2 or USB3 stick but see the first item in the FAQ.  Thanks go to BarryK for his Quirky Werewolf64 7.3.2 (Released 15th Nov) upon which this Pup...

Another DLNA pup from ETP On 16th November DLNA Werewolf64 Pup was released based on BarryK’s experimental Quirky Werewolf 64.  That Pup was a full install to USB stick with a 3 partition GPT layout.  This Pup is also spread across 3 partitions of a stick but uses an MBR layout and a more traditional “Puppy” approach.  The first partition (16MB – fat32) is the boot partition and supports booting from a “difficult” bios.  The second partition (7.4GB – f2fs) contains the main...

The early models had a display with 800x480 resolution which causes trouble with most other builds, this and many other 'obstacles' were overcome by jemimah to produce a truly fantastic OS I have also added a number of puppeee files recused from jemimah's...

The newest offering from Barry Kauler's Quirky test bed built using Ubuntu Wily Werewolf (15.10) as it's base. "The "April" series of Quirky is compiled totally from source packages, using T2 (as described in above link). Quirky "Werewolf" differs in that it is built with Ubuntu 15.10 Wily Werewolf binary DEBs. It must be emphasised that the mere fact of using Ubuntu DEBs does not make Quirky a clone of Ubuntu. Nothing could be further from the truth.  Quirky Werewolf...

New from 666philb Fossapup64 built with focal-fossa components This differs a bit from my usual builds by being more modular. sort of a three pups in one.  Rather than just the main puppy.sfs and zdrv.sfs (kernel) i've utilised puppys ydrv, fdrv & adrv utility.  So say for instance you just want a bare bones system, you can remove the adrv & ydrv and get a small 180mb puppy.  it can go even smaller if you use tahrpups firmware in the fdrv to something nearing 150mb.  You could even...

A new release from Puppy Linux creator Barry Kauler. In a nutshell, this is a momentous occasion, as I have for the first time created a "one-stop shop", compiling absolutely everything from source, required to build a Puppy or Puppy-derivative. At first, I compiled for a i686 target, that worked. Then the real test came when I compiled for a "amd64" target, also known as x86_64, for 64-bit Intel CPUs. Compiling was successful and I built a Quirky, codenamed...
