Critical Fail

James, Dana, Bert, Matt, Kevin, Toast and Kirby

This podcast is really just an excuse for a group of friends and two of the hosts of Press Pause Radio to get together every week to play Pathfinder. Sometimes we actually do get to play. Most of the time we talk about really dumb things and a dog barks in the background. Enjoy!

So that break went a little bit longer than expected, huh? To be honest with you at this point we would have been completed with the first season, which was expected to be about thirty episodes. However I just recently had my first child and during that time of delivery, arriving home and attempting to make sure I didn't permanently damage my newborn daughter I forgot to pass off the uploading duties to someone else. So here we are, over a month later and we are finally able to jump into the...

Hey everybody, welcome back to Critical Fail! This is not just any episode of Critical Fail, it's something really special! It's our 25th episode, a milestone that we never thought that we would be able to achieve. This monumental episode has everything you would expect from our group of adventurers; Bert and Matt say inappropriate things, everyone tries to attack Carrie's character because she's new and everything that James touches is ultimately ruined. The group also offer their opinion on...

Okay, I know that the episode is severely late this time around. But, in my defense Godzilla and X-Men: Days of Future Past came out within a week of each other. What is a person to do in a situation like that? Would you remember to post a podcast like this with those blockbusters in theaters for your enjoyment? You probably would, wouldn't you? You're the best, and we love you! I could say that we won't see a delay in episodes again, but you all probably know better by now. So enjoy the newest...

Welcome to the newest installment of Critical Fail, and in this episode we actually play throughout the majority of the episode. For good reasons, of course as our group of adventurers come face to face with the evil proprietor of Foxglove Manor as well as the source of all the recent string of murders. The group will also comment on ghost hunting shows, and members of the group that screw over their partners. Our DM also gets in trouble with his wife out of game, proving that couples should...

Welcome back to Critical Fail, and in this week's episode we still do not know how caves work. James, our DM will attempt to go into great detail on caves as well as making jokes about deceased wrestlers. The group will battle against multiple ghouls while bringing up painful family stories, commenting on school cafeteria pizzas all while singing those "Real American Heroes" radio ads. Do you guys remember those songs? Man, I wish they would bring those back. By the conclusion of this...

Previously on Critical Fail, our group was beginning to find out that not everything is as it seems at Foxglove Manor. Each room brings about a new haunting and a new strange occurrence for each character. Our group of fearless adventurers battle these unknown horrors as they prepare to do battle with an unseen evil. The DM also starts really trying to kill off the party, using haunting and poisonous tunnels to his advantage. Thankfully throughout most of the episode he rolls a bunch of 1's and...

Hey everybody, so this is still a thing. After computer crashes and watching YouTube videos on how to use Audacity again, Critical Fail has returned to the excitement of our fan. Our group of adventurers have finally arrived at Foxglove Manor only to find that trying to use a map without really using it can be harder than it seems. We still don't have the role-playing aspect of this down quite yet, but we're working on it. The cast will discuss offensive stereotypes, ghost Facebook pages and...

On this episode of Critical Fail the group decides to enjoy some homebrew that was provided by a friend of the show. In retrospect, that may have not been the best idea. Our adventurers spend the better part of a day looking for basements and wells as they explore a farmhouse that seems to have been overrun by ghouls. As the group battles to find the source of all these attacks they will also discuss the Left Behind series of books and how not to watch a Jason Statham movie in theaters. Listen...

In this installment of Critical Fail, our group of fearless adventurers buy potions. Many, many potions. Also they begin to wage an all out war on scarecrows. This may seem pointless to some, however Tarok is super afraid of scarecrows. Because, you know, he's a bird and all. Also Dundar becomes emotionally unbalanced, our DM gets in trouble with the misses after she catches the ghoul fever and Bert forgets what we are doing. Again. What else would you expect from "the greatest podcast...

Wow, we are really sorry about the delay between new episodes. Our official excuse is due to scheduling conflicts. The real reason however, is that I (Toast) have been trying to break our editor's computer for a few weeks. Now, with my work complete I will be able to finally edit the podcast. I promise to abuse this power a great deal, so be ready for that. For now however, let us rejoin our crew one month after their last battle as they become involved in a gripping mystery. The adventurers...
