In celebration of National Public Health Week 2022, the Florida Department of Health in Polk County wants to remind Polk residents of the wide variety of services they offer in our community. Our services can be placed into three broad categories: services to an individual’s health, environmental services, and services to our community. Individual Health services are important because the health of a community stems from the health of individuals. The environment we live in can have a vast impact on our health, making environmental health the second category of services we offer, and lastly, community services, are important because they serve the community as a whole.
