With roots in Rock & Gospel music, Chris Mitchell started out in 1990 as an ecclectic R&B, Soul performer. He played covers for a couple of years in the local Nashville clubs while he began to develop and then groom and customize his original sound. 2003 finds Chris Mitchell's music focused and taylored specifically for the listener who demands to hear an accomplished vocalist singing well crafted and "listenable" pop music. Chris has played to sold-out crowds primarily in Nashville, until recently branching out to Chicago, Atlanta, and Cleveland. With a 4 1/2 octave vocal range, sexy-smooth vocal phrasing, and a phenonmenal star presence, Chris Mitchell demands to be heard. This mega-talent draws a crowd no matter where he plays. He sings with unprecedented style and delivery. Chris Mitchell is perched on the cutting edge of pop music. The songs are "written", the parts are "created", not put together by software.
Chris performed as Robert Plant in "Led Zeppelin You Bitch!" at the famous 12th & Porter Playroom in Nashville, TN to sold out crowds and rave reviews in 2000 and 2001.
"Wish List" made the top 13 finalists on Tonos Pro qualifying Chris for spot on the submission CD in the Jim Brickman Tonos songwriting opportunity.
