March 18 - Jeff Berkowitz, Host of the long-running show, Public Affairs, offers an agenda to Illinois Republican candidates for Governor. Berkowitz lays out the data on Illinois' costly schools which fail to educate at grade level, the soaring crime in Chicago, and the crushing property taxes. Combined he notes, are solid reasons for people to flee Illinois, which they've been doing for over a decade, with 100,000 people moving out of the state in just the last year.
In this election cycle, Berkowitz shows the statistics supporting his indictment of the current political environment, which offers little relief to Illinois voters forced to pay higher taxes, put up with higher crime rates, higher costs for education, and a majority of students they failing to perform reading or math at grade level.
