An inspiring tale
I heard Mr Takeshita at the Rosie the Riveter Museum last Thursday ( July 25th, 2019). His talk, given standing erect for nearly an hour by an 89 year old person, was inspiring and will remain etched in my mind. Dignified, matter of fact yet obviously deeply passionate about the injustice meted out to him and other Japanese-American, he is still concerned about the future. He and other Japanese Americans who are actively opposing the new bigotry against Muslims, migrants and deprived groups are beacons of light in these troubled times.
These 13 videos will remain a valuable oral history for young people who would do well to listen to this sage and wise voice of a not so distant past. Thank you for taking the trouble t o record this.
