The Grand Alliance, a supergroup of Denver musical artists, is made up of Kayla Marque, Sur Ellz, and Crl Crll, all veterans of the local scene. With music a focus on Afrofuturism, this trio blends together hip-hop, funk, soul and R & B, while seamlessly interlacing elements of science fiction with messages about social justice.
Although the three members have been performing separately for years, this collaboration has only been around for a short time. This was only their second live, in-person performance since their formation. Having played a number of live streams through the pandemic, The Grand Alliance confidently took the stage at one of the most iconic music venues in the world on July 20, 2021, and solidly delivered for their audience.
