On Thursday, June 9, 2022, the City and County of Denver's Department of Finance, along with Brendan Hanlon, Deputy Mayor and Chief Financial Officer, Dr. Robert McDonald, Executive Director of Denver Public Health and Environment, Britta Fisher, Chief Housing Officer for the Department of Housing Stability, Jay Morein, Executive Director of Denver Human Services, Laura Wachter, Financial Director for the Department of Safety, Melissa Janiszewski, Executive Director of Children’s Affairs, and Jen Morris, Executive Director of Denver Economic Development & Opportunity hosted one of two tele-townhalls and online surveys and forums, the city polled residents on a variety of eligible recovery areas, including affordable housing and support for people experiencing homelessness, mental and public health resources, and support for small businesses, workers, and neighborhoods. Over 2,000 residents participated in the first tele-town hall.
