Sound Blaster package for more information on these software
applications.
2. How to install the software on this CD-ROM if you are running
Windows 95/98/Windows NT 4.0.
2.1 Installation steps on Windows 95/98/NT 4.0 systems
If you have Windows 95/98/NT 4.0 on your system, the
software installation process is simple as this CD-ROM
is Autoplay-enabled. Follow the steps outlined below:
(a) Insert this CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive.
(b) The Sound Blaster 'Welcome' screen which contains a menu
of available options will appear. This is the Setup
Options menu.
(c) Check the applications you want to install and click the OK
button. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete
the installation.
2.2 Additional Windows 95/98/NT Notes
2.2.1 If you wish to reinstall any of the software on the
CD-ROM later, you can eject the Sound Blaster CD-ROM
from your CD-ROM drive, and then close the CD-ROM tray.
Windows 95/98/NT will recognize the Sound Blaster CD-ROM's
Autoplay feature and the Setup Options menu will be made
available again.
3. Setting Up Joystick Drivers in Windows NT 4.0
3.1. Log on to your computer as Administrator.
3.2. Click the Start button, point to Settings, and then click
Control Panel.
3.3. Double-click the Multimedia icon, click the Devices tab,
and then click the Add button.
3.4. In the List of Drivers box of the Add dialog box, select
Unlisted Or Updated Driver, and then click the OK button.
3.5. Insert the Windows NT 4.0 CD-ROM which contains the
JOYSTICK.SYS file into the CD-ROM drive.
3.6. In the Install Driver dialog box, type
E:\DRVLIB\MULTIMED\JOYSTICK\X86
if E:\ is the CD-ROM drive letter, and then click the OK button.
3.7. In the Add Unlisted Or Updated Driver dialog box, click
Analog Joystick Driver, and then click the OK button.
3.8. In the Microsoft Joystick Configuration dialog box, click
the OK button.
3.9. Restart your computer when prompted.
4. Wave Blaster Emulation
Wave Blaster Emulation is disabled when the SB Live! audio card
is installed under Windows 95/98/NT.
