The City of Pittsburg and Pittsburg Community Schools USD 250 with the help of Motorola have successfully launched a private 4G LTE network called DragonNet, which connects students in the community with at-home educational resources. This high-speed broadband network delivers internet access to students who need it and bridges the gap for families who would not otherwise have access to these resources. Funding for the DragonNet project was made possible thanks to a grant from the State of Kansas Strengthening People and Revitalizing Kansas (SPARK) program, along with additional funding from USD 250 Schools and the City of Pittsburg.
