At the November 2, 2021, Study Session, the City of Norman Utilities Department gave a presentation about water connection fees and some proposed alternatives to them.
We interviewed Todd Cristiano, of the consulting firm Raftelis, to have him give a brief explanation of the relationship between connection fees and individual user charges, and what some of the connection fee alternatives might look like.
City Council is expected to finalize decisions about connection fees and financial planning for City of Norman Utilities in weeks to come.
