David Sesser is the Director of Museum Studies and Collections Librarian at Henderson State University, in Arkadelphia. Arkansas. He recently received the Walter L. Brown Award for Best Edited Document award in a county or local journal from the Arkansas Historical Association for his manuscript, “We saw a beautiful town,” Union Soldiers’ Impressions of Arkadelphia during the Camden Expedition.” The Article appeared in the 2020 Clark County Historical Journal. He is also the author of "The Little Rock Arsenal Crisis" which chronicles the events that led up to and during the crisis in Little Rock before the Civil War which almost resulted in the first shots of the Civil War to be fired.
