From Thursday, July 8th - Monday, July 12th, two Hoover firefighters, Lt. Jeff Harris and Capt. Toby Rigsby, were on the scene of the condominium collapse in Surfside, FL. They were part of a 14-member crew that included representatives of departments from across the nation. The purpose of their deployment was to provide emotional support for the first responders working the horrific scene. This week, they shared their story of what they saw, experienced and learned. Lt.
