College students returning to the area will notice changes in traffic patterns around West University Avenue. The City of Gainesville has converted NW 14th Street and NW 15th Street from two-way to one-way. The parallel streets will function as a one-way pair with traffic flowing in opposite directions. The intersections where those roads meet University Avenue should now be safer since there will be fewer places where pedestrians and motorists can cross paths.
