This was an attempt to create the worldâs longest drawn on film loop during a project called Animate 88. Visitors to the museum were encouraged to drawn at least 24 frames, and hundreds of people participated. It wasnât the worldâs longest, but it was shown at the end of the day and later made into a loop to play in the museumâs Storyteller Theater. Stan Woodwardâs idea, if I recall correctly. Music added later.

A hodge podge of interesting early Animation Corps animation class work at CCM. Work was shot on Sony 8mm videos by pausing and unpausing the recorder. David Cook worked with Darren Wheeling to create Robot Bumblebee: Back Beyond Keon. Written by David Cook. 1993. (I love the Robot Bumblebee series, and this one is exceptional.) Ron is after Keon, so Robot Bumblebee and friends have to help him get back to the past. Linda Cook and Jonathan Perry-Giles did voices. David was age 8, and this number 3 in the series. Master tape.

Sidwell Friends school would come by the Animation Lab for their mini-mester each year for many years. This says 1994 on the box. Some flipbooks, and some cartoons - The Paint Ball War, Killer Watermelon, and Low Budget Man. Torn and cut-out paper animation by Christopher Grotke. Music is Junkyard, a b-side of a Grace Jones single. Started in November 1989 and took about a month of steady work. I wanted to test the new animation stand and FAX EOS frame controller, do a long project, and demonstrate animation to museum visitors while working in the new Animation Lab.
