My walk from Hadden Beach to Elsje. The path along the point is perhaps 2-3 meters above the water opening out to English Bay to the north/northwest, the park to the south, and the downtown core to the east. The dynamic level is quite low in this excerpt. We hear my footsteps, a creaking dock, my announcement of my arrival at Elsje Point. We also hear the lapping water below, sea birds, the drone of floatplane, a small ferry boat, voices.
