facilities across indiana, in honor of a sheriff's deputy killed in the line of duty. howard county deputy carl koontz was shot at a mobile home in russiaville roo'-shuh-vil , about 60 miles north of indianapolis. state police say koontz and another deputy were trying to serve a warrant at the time. a swat team tried for two hours to communicate with the person inside the mobile home. that person was later found dead. "we have a pretty good idea that this shooter was still inside that residence because there were several officers there initially when we made the approach to the residence. so our first concern at that moment in time was the residents that were around where this the wounded jordan buckley -- is condition. arrangements have been made for a 4- year-old who died after being put in the child's 25- year-old stepmother anna dipping austin

breaking news township in dispatchers tell us two people, one armed with a knife, just robbed the speedway on state route 131. no word on injuries. the suspects reportedly got away in a silver car, possibly a cadillac. dan ots also breaking... a 15-year-old boy is in police custody after investigators say he made threats against several local schools. the boy was picked up around two o- clock this morning. police tell us he made online threats against several cincinnati public schools. all the schools will be open today. new this morning new this morning... i-275 eastbound is back open

hehl bridge overnight. investigators say a driver rear-ended a pontiac grand am shortly after going over the bridge. we're told the person in that pontaic died from his injuries. his name is not being released at this time. the other driver was taken to u-c medical center with serious injuries. police say excessive speed and impairment are believed to be factors. this is the second major crash in less than a week on the combs-hehl bridge. last wednesday... a 12-car pileup.. sent a car plunging into the ohio river. officials now believe they know who was inside the vehicle.. but have not been able to remove the car or the body from the water... kara dblbx our sara celi is live in campbell county with more. live police hope today they can continue recovery efforts... they have located a car underneath the bridge that they believe is the car involved in this accident. high water forced police to suspend the search last week... vo the accident happened last

it involved twelve cars and four seperate accidents that caused a chain reaction as other cars tried to slow down on the bridge. police say passerby reported a car, possibly a grand prix, going over the side of the bridge and into the river.... but do not have any information on the owner or potential occupants of the car. the car was about halfway across the bridge when it was involved in the crash and plunged into the river below. recovery efforts even led the coast guard to shut down part of the river on wednesday. live we will stay on top of this recovery effort here on fox19 now, and fox19now dot com. back to you. breaking now. fire investigators have been called to an apartment complex in north this after crews battled flames overnight at the apartment complex investigators started in a storage room in the basement... thankfully, out safely... allowed to return to their homes
