"good morning america" will have coverage to the lead up to the new hampshire primary, "g.m.a." begins at 8:00 a.m. after "action news." new for you this morning, a teenager is in the hospital after police say she was attack ed by the family dog in west philadelphia. police say the 14-year-old girl was home when her siblings when someone knocked on the door. the family pitbull escaped from the basement and attacked the girl. when officers arrived on scene they were forced to shoot and kill the dog.

the girl is recovering at children's hospital listed in stable condition. investigators are looking for the cause of a fire that gutted a former millville bar. the action cam was at the scene on the 500 block of south second street. the blaze break out at 6:30 p.m. and went to three-alarms. firefighters rescued a person in the building. that person was not hurt. a nearby resident told "action news" the fire intensity was scary. i backed up, you could feel the heat coming off. it took three hours for crews to bring the fire under control. governor wolf and the republican controlled pennsylvania legislature have not completed work on a budget this year that has not stopped the democratic governor from going before lawmakers tuesday to make a pitch. he is the first governor to reach this point proposing a new

budget while the current one is in limbo. he is asking for an increase in education spending. there is no indication at this point that the two sides are close to an agreement on the current budget. philadelphia auto show comes to a close at the pennsylvania screngs -- convention center. 700 of the newest classic cars and trucks are on display. you can go for a drive on a test track. sixers cheerleaders are making an appearance from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. survivors trapped in earthquake rubble in taiwan. a racoon attacked a girl in montgomery county, a person with a hockey stick helped her out. nydia, coming up in

would have a significant snowstorm out of this. but it's working up to sea along the coast. we'll start out with clouds and sun. we get into the overnight hours, this model has throwing back moisture, we'll allow for snow shower across south jersey and delaware, first thing tomorrow morning, depending on this storm's track. i'm not buying this, i think tonight it's mainly cloudy, flakes east of philadelphia. it doesn't appear to be too big of a deal. monday, cloudy skies, monday night into tuesday we start to pick up moist out of the second system we're watching. even though we are not seeing anything on this model right now, we'll see the moisture fill in during the afternoon. there will be a period of snow come tuesday, the question mark is how heavy of a snowfall will we see? there's not too much change from yesterday. not a major storm, it's rather

the normal is 42. all right we're still watching the potential for snow on tuesday. normally as we get closer to the event the picture becomes clearer. this storm is a difficult call. the forecast models are showing some light to moderate snow accumulation stretching from washington, d.c. to new york. the problem is some models showing the heavier accumulation here, others show it around new york and west of philadelphia area. trying to pinpoint where the band of snow develops that's the difficult call right now. it's an area of low pressure developing off the virginia capes and the southern delmarva. it is disorganized as it travels you will the eastern seaboard. it's going to be a small storm where a small area picks up snow, maybe like that, maybe as it gets up here, interior sections of new england. tuesday is something we have to watch closely as we get closer

chase before the crash. officers saw the car slammed into a taxi the car bursting into flames. one person died after being thrown from the cars. two others burned to death inside the vehicle. no one in the taxi was seriously hurt. health officials in montgomery county want to talk to a good samaritan who saved a youngster from a rabid racoon. the girl was walking alhome from school along the bridal trail when a racoon attacked. a good samaritan was driving by at the same time. stopped his car and had a hockey stick in his trunk which he got out and used to hit the animal until it detached from the girl. it was wonderful for him to do that, and then he drove him home. annual control captured the -- annual control captured the racoon in the woods and it

mild weather that we see in the month of february. we get boo -- get into the next 7 to ten days it will change. the clouds will increase and lower and thicken throughout the day and give way to snow showers, at least for some of us. double scan live is clear. we have no issues out there. it's a nice, quiet morning, but chilly. there's not much of a windchill out there this morning. the pressures are starting to fall. it's been unusually mild over the past five to seven days. 53, 62 wednesday, thursday, 56. we started to cool it down a little bit, friday and yesterday, 43 and 44, but those numbers are above the seasonal

average. now things will change. we'll see the arctic air attack the pattern again, that means colder temperatures as we match along the new workweek. 21 in allentown. 21 in millville. trenton, 24. philadelphia, 30, lancaster checking in at 23. satellite and radar, there's the northern edge of that southern storm starting to see the cloud cover work up the i-95 corridor from windchill monday to washington, d.c. and throughout the afternoon some of the clouds will begin to approach the philadelphia area. here's the coastal storm here, this is a huge storm this was running due north up the eastern seaboard we would have gotten clobbered. this would be a 6 to 12-inch snowstorm. the greens are moving toward the northeast at 20 to 25 miles per hour. even though the clouds are lifting to the north, the bulk of the moisture is pulling away. we may get brushed by this southern new jersey, along the coast, maybe see a brief passing

snow shower. it should not amount to all that much. we get into tuesday, this low will transfer its energy to another area of low pressure off the virginia capes. somewhere within the i-95 corridor from washington, d.c. to new york city there will be a heavier band of snow developing. where that band sets up that's where the highest accumulations fall. future tracker 6, increasing clouds, nice finish to the weekend. overnight tonight there would be a passing snow shower along the immediate coast. most of us stay dry. first thing tomorrow morning it looks like one or two snow showers possible transitioning to a brief rain shower as temperatures get into the mid 40s, tuesday morning that's when you see the snow break out, even though the model is dry on tuesday, you'll see the light snow develop west to east across the viewing area where the band of steadier snow somewhere between washington, d.c. and new york city. when you look at the forecast
