the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. we knew the weather yesterday was too good to last. >> reporter: it was nice unless you were in delaware and then you were hoping for something better. today promises to be a nice and bright and comfortable, looks fantastic out there. there is the view in center city. we have a few high, thin clouds overhead. but temperatures are pleasant and the humidity leaves are nice and low. 65 degrees is the 6:00 a.m. number for philadelphia. trenton, 62. 52 for the poconos. allentown and reading, 60. millville, 65. dover, 67 and lancaster you're a little bit cooler out there. showing a present temperature reading of 59. a few high, thin clouds stretching across southeastern pennsylvania, mixed skies this afternoon, if you have a tee time enjoy it. sun and clouds, very nice, very pleasant. by 10:00 a.m., temperatures around 73 degrees, 3:00 p.m.

block of northed 8th street. -- block of north 8th street. a 19-year-old man was struck in the back running from the gunfire. bullets pierced the windshield of an officer's vehicle, but no officers were injured so far no arrests have been made in the shooting. meantime, in the city's tioga section a fight outside a nightclub ended overnight with one man dead. police say a gunman shot a 24-year-old man twice in the abdomin. it happened outside the galaxy nightclub on the 3300 block of jermt avenue. the -- germantown avenue, the victim was pronounced at the hospital. philadelphia police are looking for the rapest who attacked a doctor inside her center city apartment. detectives have recovered surveillance video of the suspect that may be released soon. kenneth moten already knows what

it shows. >> reporter: saturday night there was a little more caution in the air in popular rittenhouse square after the beating and rape of a 26-year-old woman on spruce street near 19th. >> you hear about that, it's a rude awakening, you have to watch your surroundings. >> reporter: philadelphia police svu say surveillance video shows a man on the bike stalking a woman who was alone. he secured his bike on the sidewalk before sneaking up behind. it appears he didn't have a weapon, but strong armed the victim into a third floor apartment where he sexually assaulted her. >> my parents wanted me to live, because it's the safest neighborhood in in philadelphia. >> reporter: the victim is a doctor at the hospital of university of pennsylvania. she was out with friends at a bar. crime scene investigators carried out bags of evidence from the apartment ascertain

such. 6:12, sunday morning. >> let's talk to the man who knows how the day is shaping up. chris sowers. we're hoping for good weather. >> reporter: it looks like a fantastic finish to the weekend. yesterday we were ducking in and out of the cloud cover. today, lots of sunshine and beautiful afternoon. let's get you outside and show you what's going on. there's the place to be this morning, there's the jersey shore. we're expecting a nice beach day with comfortable temperatures it will be cooler on the sand and inland locations, still pretty nice considering the time of year, low humidity levels. that's the view in cape may, 70 degrees. millville, 65. philadelphia, 65. allentown, 60. poconos, 52. that's the cool spot up there. lancaster, 59. wilmington, 62 and dover 67 degrees, dewpoints have come up a little bit, philadelphia and wilmington, 60s. low to mid 60s across south jersey and mid 50s to the

northwest. everybody north and west of the line it's nice and comfortable. everybody south and east you have a little bit of humidity, on the scale we'll put it in that slightly humid category, this will drop down this afternoon when we get mixing in the atmosphere and some of that drier aloft will work to the surface. today promises to be a pleasant day around the delaware valley. here's the satellite and radar composite, not too much going on, high, thin clouds stretching across keystone state. they will push out of here as the day wears on. high pressure will be the main player today and tomorrow, for that matter. it will feel slowly drift off to the southeast. the winds will shift tomorrow in a south/southwesterly direction. that will warm things up. there will be a lot of heat and humidity out here over the next couple of days. as that high drifts to the southeast, this will sit over the delaware valley by tuesday and wednesday. today looks pleasant.

millville, 80. dover 82 a nice finish to the weekend. >> new video from the firefighters at the scene of a house fire at the jersey shore. three people were hurt, but they were able to get out, they were overcoming by smoke on saint louis avenue in stone harbor. flames ripped through the second floor, investigators are working to pinpoint the calls of the blaze. >> reporter: police are investigating several overnight shootings during a violent night in the area. the action cam was on the 5500 block of logan street. two men shot a man in his 20s. one is in critical condition, one in stable condition. police are looking for the shooter. gunfire broke out in atlantic city sending two men to the hospital. it happened at martin luther

showing 52 degrees, slightly humid to the south, very comfortable north and west, humidity levels drop off during the day. the winds will be nice and light. a gentle breeze out of the east/southeast at 5 to 10 miles per hour. the sea breeze kicks in later on, it will cool the sand off from cape may to sandy hook in monmouth county. here's the satellite and radar, you can see a few high, thin clouds stretching over pennsylvania, showers and thunderstorms across the virginias another batch of moisture across the eastern great lake states that will follow this and push to the south. we don't have to worry about any rainfall today. bigger storms to the west. if you're traveling across high plains or the heartland. nation, you'll see clufers of showers and -- clusters of showers and thunderstorms. we'll zoom into this area, the cluster of storms, what happened you get a quick cluster of

taking on a 1k or 5k for a variety of causes. it raises awareness and funds for charities in their own communities. >> our friends at wmmr rolled up their sleeves at the greater philadelphia expo center in oaks, delaware county. this was the 9th annual i bleed red blood drive. preston picked up the 6abc mic to ask why so many came out to this important event. >> it's an opportunity to give back to the community in a different way than i do on a normal basis to make sure that the supply is still here if people come to the event randomly throughout the year, the summer months with people taking vacations it's difficult for them to keep up their blood supply. >> and this year, the i bleed drive collected its 10,000th

donation. the woman was given a plaque and given two tickets to see the legendary rock band kiss and deaf leopard. 9-year-old t.j. returned to the baseball diamond the catcher happened to be his brother. earlier this year t.j. had a heart attack while playing at his game. his coach and two police officers helped save his life. organizers wanted to give t.j. a surprise while he continues to recover so he received a signed phillies jersey from cliff lee.
