usually we're in the grips of the coldest weather, butine said tomorrow you may be opening your windows. >> there's going to be a lot of wind around. let me show you the current numbers which already are above average for this time of year in terms of high temperatures. average high in cleveland about 40 degrees. it's 44 downtown and 41 towards mansfield. that wind 10-25 miles per hour. the wind that we saw today will only increase as we head into the day on sunday, and that will really start to tap into much milder air to our west and southwest. that's on the west side of the big area of high pressure

tonight. we'll start off with sunshine and strong winds on sunday, which may lead highs to approach 60 degrees. here's how the day breaks out as we head into sunday. by noon we'll be in the '50s, and upper 50s to near 60 by the afternoon. notice a lot of sunshine through the day. that's not going to last. i'm tracking rain before sunday, and chris, snowflakes may not be out of the question. we'll tell you when to expect them coming up. to politics now. voters in south carolina have made their decision abundantly clear. hillary clinton dominating bernie sanders in the democratic primary tonight.

in canton, mansfield and radiation levels were relatively low and materials properly disposed of. epa is investigating how the scrap became contaminated in the first place. one of cleveland's premier events hits a milestone. we take you to the theater as they sell brat 50 years. >> cleveland is the birthplace of rock and roll, and tonight one of the premier spots in cleveland's rich history turns 50. the theater turns 50 today, and it's a celebration. when your favorite band comes to town, you singalong. the theater has been hosting your favorite bands now for 50 years. they opened the first concert in cleveland on february 27, 1966 in little italy.

. it should be a real nice one tomorrow. today. not a record setter, but really nice. it will be the last couple of days of february and has been the story of this winter.

travel down to columbus or cincinnati, probably five to 6 degrees warmer in columbus, maybe 10 degrees warmer in cincinnati. and that could push the temperature down there towards the ohio river into the low 70s tomorrow afternoon. 13-mile an hour wind, southwest winds, and they've been gusting 25-30. so you may actually hear the wind sleeping overnight with stronger gusts. it will only increase as we go through the overnight hours approaching sunday. 35 degrees to 40 overnight, partly cloudy, staying mild, southwest wind sustained at 10- 15, but we could easily double that for wind gusts at 20 to 30. plenty of sunshine throughout the day tomorrow, and the temperature near 60 degrees right at the lakeshore. so downtown cleveland, there may be milder temperatures down

a big area of high pressure down to the south, free of any cloud cover off to the west. minneapolis, st. louis towards kansas city and oklahoma city, a sunny area moving into the region for tomorrow, but notice the clouds out west. we'll have to deal with those a little later tomorrow night. still near 60 in the morning. it's 62 in dallas. it was the warmest outdoor nhl game ever, starting in the '60s to start the game. this milder air will head into ohio and indiana and illinois. tomorrow night the area of low pressure starts to approach. not a lot of rain or snow with this. it is very scattered. a quit hint of showers and likely enough cold air behind it to also bring us a couple of snowflakes tomorrow night. we turn our attention up to west coast. late monday into tuesday another storm coming in.

with rain, and just like the one tomorrow will end with some snow as we head into tuesday afternoon as the temperatures fall off. neither system looks to bring any significant snowfall or anything that would impact our commute. temperatures in the 40s and 30s as we go into sunday morning. take a look at sunday afternoon. i think the model is missing some of of these temperatures. near 60 at the lakeshore with a strong wind. also of more concern is the gust there. they could exceed 40 miles an hour at times. showers move in late tomorrow night, and they could end very early morning on monday as a couple of snowflakes, the most will not see anything accumulating. that means the monday morning commute is still looking good, mild monday afternoon and the extended forecast, the change over again, and if there is going to be any snow in northeast ohio that will stick around, that will be on thursday as temperatures fall

boards. many reports out of the combine with quite the showings. many impressed scouts and coaches with passing yards, completions and attempts. for future nfl quarter backs, the one who is about to become a former nfl quarterback, the denver post saying peyton manning will announce his retirement next week. it's long been expected that he will retire after winning the super bowl. if the report is true, he will be in canton in five years no doubt. tough news came yesterday
