after more than a week-- crews are now starting to get a hand on the fires that have killed at least 41 people and destroyed thousands of buildings. but the danger isn't over, and crews are still stretched thin. last night-- evacuation orders were lifted for two neighborhoods in santa rosa, a city of 175,000 people. thousands, however, will return to nothing but ashes. more than 100 people are still missing. happening today, n-f-l owners will meet in new york city to discuss former quarterback colin kaepernick, and the grievance he's filed. he claims the league and owners colluded not to sign him because of his refusal to stand during the national anthem. kaepernick quit the 49ers back in march. he chose to opt out of his contract, making himself a free agent. since then, no other n-f-l team has shown

explosion near new orleans. last night, the coast guard suspended its search for him. he's been identified as 44-year-old timothy morrison of katy, texas. seven other people were injured in the blast on an offshore rig in lake pontchartrain. three are in critical condition. the clovelly oil company platform exploded while maintenance was being done. authorities reported that cleaning chemicals had ignited on the structure. but the company says the cause of the blast is still unknown. new legal trouble for disgraced movie producer harvey weinstein. police in new york and the u-k, both launching investigations into
