march--we will be following along if they do. live at red arrow park, ashley sears fox 6 news. brad thanks ashley protests again taking place around the country today -- in response to donald trump being elected president. people took to the streets in cities like: new york, los angeles, san francisco, and phoenix. his victory in tuesday's election shocked the world... but president obama has vowed to work with president-elect trump transition" of power. the first step happened today -- as mr. trump met with president obama at the white house. the meeting-- which president obama says was "excellent" -- lasted about an hour and a half. the two talked about domestic policy, and about setting up a team to make the smooth transition into the white house come january. trump says: "we discussed a lot of different situations. some wonderful and some difficulties. i very much look forward to dealing with the

the future, including counsel." obama says: "it is important for all of us, regardless of party, and regardless of political preferences, to now come together, work together, to deal with the many challenges that we face." president elect trump also met with house speaker paul ryan today in washington. vp-elect mike pence also sat down with vice-president biden, and melania trump met privately with the first lady. hit-and-run crash that killed a 5-year-old girl --- has been arrested. rickyia rick-eye-uh langham died sunday -- after she was hit by an s-u-v near leon terrace and constance avenue.the vehicle was found monday on the city's north side. somebody was initially taken into custody. the 30-year-old suspected driver was arrested this morning. it was a shooting that happened almost two years ago. but just this week-- a milwaukee man died from his injuries. the family is now desperate to

why. angelica sanchez joins us live with more... the family says it was during an attempted home invasion that eric r walker was shot in the back at his mother's house. loved ones say he was a promising athlete..husband and father whos life was tragically cut short. 'he was like a bro i really love you man and i was like i really love you too the last conversation he had with his younger brother 29 year-old eric r walker... who died on friday of complications from a gunshot wound he endured in december of 2014. for the last two years he was bound to a bed paralyzed from the waist down. 'his wounds were so bad.. he had so much internal damage." dion admits out of the two brothers he was the trouble- maker. he's spent the last three years behind bars. but eric was always the good one..."a gentle giant" who was also a

athlete according to police...eric was shot on the 57-hundred block of west captiol drive during an attempted break- in at his mothers house. they are still searching for a motive and a suspect. hear more on why the woman was on the interstate in the first place. all but a few residents are allowed back into their home -- after a whitewater apartment complex goes up in flames. 300-people were temporarily displaced -- after the fire started last night. we're told -- all 100 units were evacuated as 28 different agencies responded. at least three cats died but no people were hurt. 12 units suffered a combined 500- thousand-dollars worth of damage. dumbfounded. like, i never expected it." all but 16 of the units are back open tonight. the fire chief says investigators are still trying to determine what caused the fire and if it was arson or accidental. when she had her wheels stolen -- it meant an already tough trip is nearly impossible, on her own. justin williams has more information on the milwaukee woman whose wheelchair was stolen-- right out of her front yard, and is hoping for help, in getting a new ride. this recent high school

' 'n,' no--it's really not outside fence, 'n,' yeah, it's really not outside, anymore, so ... rayquetta files a police report, and, most certainly, rolls-on, but what is tough, with temps in topping 70, is doubly-dubious when they dip, in december. i have to get pushed around, like everywhere, at work, and ask everyone for help--when that's really not my thing. rayqueta, and terry say they're not interested in punishing the person, or people, responsible for this crime. they're focused on getting the chair, back. if you have it, or you know who does, you can return

washington county -- in connection to a series of scrap metal thefts. deputies stopped their van monday morning in the town of barton-- after getting a call from a citizen. inside the van -- authorities found about 11-hundred pounds of scrap wire -- estimated to be worth around 750-dollars. deputies also located heroin and four of the suspects were arrested. a 15-year-old boy was also with them, but he was turned over to his parents. a group of milwaukee alderman approve a plan to knock chewing tobacco out of the ballpark. the public safety committee approved the new ordinance today. now it moves on to the full common council. the move is meant to discourage big league ballplayers from dipping during games in milwaukee. supporters of the ban say it's a bad example for kids to see their

even a one year old can make a difference. thats why toddlers and kids from milwaukees north shore suburbs are volunteering in the inner city. deandra corinthios shows you how their efforts...are changing communities... new at six. the library at mps thurston woods elementary school is alive with excitement. with kids from totally different worlds. "in milwaukee we know it is one of the most segregated cities in the country and were working really hard to build those bridges" this is toddlers and kids on a mission's reading buddies program... students from thurston woods...learning from reading to
