standard data rates may apply. apply. senator ted cruz trekked across the palmetto state today. this morning he was in aiken speaking to hundreds of supporters during a rally at the university of south carolina aiken. this afternoon, cruz spoke to a packed house in camden about his response to donald trump's threats to sue if cruz doesn't pull his ads. "i think he avoided profanity so that was good. but i guess the only explanation one can have is that his internal poll numbers in south carolina must be plummeting following that debate." ted cruz also is speaking at a rally in florence tonight. cnn will host the back- to-back republican town halls in south carolina. ben carson, ted cruz and marco rubio will be in greenville wednesday night. on thursday, donald trump, jeb

"this is president regan's jellybean jar." "this is a bottle of president regan's champagne." "this is a set of lyndon johnson's pens." and no he didn't buy these things off the internet, john canty got these original items while working at the white house. nat pop coming from humble beginnings, the clarendon county native's journey to 1600 pennsylvania avenue began in the 1940s. "there wasn't nothing for a black person to do but own a farm or cutting pulp wood or logging or something like that." after graduating from high school, canty left his hometown here in silver and headed to the nation's capital. landing a job with nasa. "i worked there for a while as a mail clerk. i worked on special mail, confidential mail that we sent out to different agencies." known for his good work ethic, canty got a offer to work at the white house as a mail clerk. "i said i'll think about it, so

a few months later- canty accepted. "i had to decide which letter went to the president and where the other letter had to go." his first boss- president lyndon b. johnson. "he will come out and mingle with us. he had his cooks there and they'll come out and bar-be-que and he had four bands." but it was richard nixon who he says was his favorite.
