bears game this afternoon. now, we won't see whiteout conditions in our area but this system could lead to some trouble on the roads tomorrow morning. good evening. i'm denise nagano. we're tracking the wintry mix neighborhood by neighborhood. we begin with erica martin with a first alert for the monday morning. when will it move into our region? >> very complicated system and seeing as you mentioned the greens on the screen and colder air sliding into place so i think the lee high valley seeing a light wintry mix by 10:00, 11:00. you will see the local neighborhood forecast. picking up on the clouds ahead of the precip. a wider look here. all the colder air sliding in place, across the u.p. upper midwest, as well. we have light changeover of virginia and west virginia, as well. of course, keep in mind that we do have colder air settling into

place. not for the entire dell care valley but concerned for chestnut hill and bucks county, as well. keep that in mind. this system approaching by 10:00, 11:00 p.m. and then stay here through tomorrow morning and clearing off 9:00 a.m. so first alert with the lehigh valley, chestnut hill. when? starting at 11:00 p.m. and tracking a wintry mix for parts of the delaware valley including the lehigh valley suburbs and chestnut hill. rain for jersey and the jersey shore. picking up on the rain on the approach. 10:00, 10:30 p.m., introduction of that precip in the form of a wintry mix so we'll go through hour by hour in its full capacity in just a bit. denise, back to you. >> erika, thank you. for many, the forecast is a rude

awakening that wenter is almost here and time to get the supplies. nbc 10's aundrea cline-thomas continues the coverage. you spoke to penn-dot about how they're making sure that the roads are ready. what are they telling you? >> reporter: well, denise, that salt stockpile is further back here on the lot. take a look. the trucks, they are ready to go. it is all quiet right now. that's going to change, though, around midnight. that's when crews are coming in to hit the roads. the roads in the lehigh valley and pocono region are the focus. the concern is crews treating the roads with salt as a precaution. >> the roadway temperature's freezing or below and rain comes down, then you get the freezing rain, hitting the ground and freezes up and could be an issue. >> reporter: at lowe's, the store stocked to help customers

the remains of the body today. that fire broke out in an electronic dance party friday night. officials say only 20% of the building has been searched and they expect the number of lives lost to increase. >> we're still not done. as you can hear behind me, they're working and pulling this building apart and dissecting it. and so, we are really starting to get deep sbeer the building. as we do that, we continue to find more victims. >> the cause of the fire remains unknown. crushed instantly. the eagles fell to the bengals 32-4 and the third loss in a row. highlights and reaction of doug pederson, let's go to john clark at john paul stadium. frustrated fans and correct that score to 14. john? >> reporter: yeah. i'll tell you what. this was a bad, bad loss against a bad bengals team.

worse loss of the eagles season, they were down 29-0 and the bengals scored 32, the most all year. this is really a bad one. eagles not doing in the right direction. look at the low lights. wentz with three interceptions in the game. how about penalties? ten penalties. four of them personal foul personalities. so you have to wonder about the discipline of the team right now. the eagles lost 7 of 9 games, 6 in a row on the road. and remember, doug pederson, he'd said this week that the team was headed in the right direction. obviously it is not. >> obviously, very disappointed in the way we played. that's the first thing. and it's a collective effort. all three phases tonight. it's something that we pride ourselves to play better. and to not turn the ball over, to get off the field on third downs, to rush the passer. all the things that we're not

local christmas tree farm is giving back to military families across the country. nbc 10 today and loaded christmas trees on trucks to military families part of the trees for troops program. more than 400 tree farms in 26 states delivered trees to every branch of the military. denise, on the other side of the break, the full forecast. picking up on those showers on the approach. colder air also sliding into place. we have a wintry mix for some but for whom, of course, i have all the details coming up in a bit.

the nbc 10 first alert weather team tracking a wintry mix for your monday morning commute. places like camel back mountain resort could see snow and we'll have more on what to expect in a few minutes. in south jersey, a permanent memorial in memory of a boy allegedly killed by his own father. a bench and plaque were dedicated to the memory of brendan creato. it does not his name but lyrics of "lost boys" and trees planted near where the 3-year-old's body was found this past october. >> this bench represents a place of reflection rather than sadness so that people can come, reflect on the good of this little boy rather than the sad of his passing. >> the little boy's father is charged with his murder. his trial is set for next month.

turning now to the latest on the presidential recount in pennsylvania. tomorrow the state recount effort moves to federal court as philadelphia election officials are set to announce their official recount results. new at 6:00, nbc 10's lauren mayk explains. >> reporter: on the sixth floor of a building on columbus boulevard in philadelphia, they're reading votes out loud. some party lines, some split tickets. all being counted, again, in an effort spearheaded by green party presidential candidate jill stein. >> is there still a hope for you that the outcome of the election koud change as a result of this? >> there's not a big hope of that or not a hope. it's not really what i'm here for. what i'm here for at this stage it is about democracy and whether it's working. >> reporter: he'd still like a closer look at the voting machines and programmed. a recount showed no change in

the tally but today the votes on paper, recounting provisional and absentee ballots. on hand to watch, mark cohen. >> i would like hillary clinton to win. is there's a possibility of extra votes here or there, i favor doing it. >> reporter: and jonathan goldstein, an attorney. >> hopefully now the public is satisfied that the correct result was reached. >> reporter: the counting here comes after a potentially expensive legal effort at the state level withdrawn. the president-elect tweeting, the green party just dropped the recount suit in pennsylvania and is losing votes in wisconsin recount. just a stein scam to raise money. supporters say the push is still on, just heading to federal court instead. while tomorrow jill stein is planning a rally an news conference at trump tower in new york. in old city, lauren mayk, nbc 10 news. recount efforts in two other

states. recount began thursday in wisconsin and another could begin in michigan this week. president-elect and supporters have been fighting to stop them both. and now to our first alert and meteorologist erika martin tracking it all for us. >> we have a first alert with rain and wintry mix on the approach. this first alert includes the suburbs, p.a. lehigh valley, chestnut hill, red sooxboro. tonight through 9:00 a.m. tomorrow morning, a wintry mix for the suburbs and rain. it's a mix of everything. hour by hour forecast, starting this at 6:00 p.m., we are tracking those showers on the approach by about 10:00 p.m., lehigh valley already seeing some light blues there and some

whites denoting that we have a wintry mix and light snow and likely a coating through 1:00 a.m. and of course it could be deceiving early monday morning to head to work. keep in mind you'll encounter the slick spots but wider perspective here, you can see that we have the rain on the approach. more importantly, that colder air, as well. locally, the clouds developing. some light rain starting to pop up for parts of pennsylvania. otherwise right now, we are not seeing anything except for those developing clouds. of course, a biggest concern is for the lehigh valley and suburbs and keep it in mind. neighborhoods right now mainly in the 30s for the lehigh valley. and nazareth currently at 41 degrees. keeping it in the suburbs right now, mainly upper 30s to low 40s and melbourne at 37 degrees and the temperatures mild right now and will get colder, of course, and this is where we're expecting the wintry mix. philadelphia, low to mid-40s.

so temperatures right now notice we're seeing blues on the screen here. a wider look all of that colder air sliding into place setting us up for the wintry mix and a three-day outlook. notice we have rain showers for the first half of your monday for the philadelphia area. the suburbs seeing that wintry mix and the lehigh valley. delaware and the jersey shore and new jersey seeing mainly rain and then clearing. hour by hour, after that, the next system to approach. i'd say by tuesday into wednesday. and notice here that we start to see some more showers approaching. this will be warmer although i think the lehigh valley gets more of a mix and we have a one-two punch and a third system approaching by thursday into friday. ten-day on 10 has a lot to go over and i'll give it to you in the final weather. here's danny with sports. thanks. the eagles with a glimmer of

pair of birds down field. hill punched in to make it 10-0 cincinnati. near end of the half, no aj green and dalton hits the other favorite target. eifert. he's got reservations for six. 10-0 bengals lead at halftime. carson wentz and the offense, the throw from the rookie tipped and picked off. the eagles fail to show up on the road once again. they get roughed up losing 32-14 falling to 5-7 on the season. with more on today's disappointing loss, john clark is live in cincinnati with more. hey, john. >> reporter: yeah, they have lost six straight games on the road. as you said, overall, they have lost 7 of 9 games and going into the game doug pederson said they were going in the right direction. that is what makes this even more disappointing. listen to the birds players. >> you know, as a team we obviously didn't play well. you know? they came out and beat us. we got down early. didn't help our cause out early

a final check on the all-important forecast. >> you know, denise, there's so much to go over really because talk about the delaware valley, some people get rain, some people get that wintry mix and overall and into early tomorrow morning and the precip approaching from the west and southwest and northwest and colder air and the ten-day on 10, i didn't get to it earlier. adding showers there tuesday into wednesday. so we have some more rain on the approach and then another system moving in thursday into friday. and then those temperatures dip into the 20s overnight thursday to friday, friday into saturday. overnight low friday into saturday, 25 degrees and the expected high temperature 38 so definitely a major cool down. >> okay. i know you'll be watching it all. we'll see you tonight after the game.
